I don't normally explain the massive amount of work that goes into my mods. I just let you all enjoy the fruits of my labour. I'm constantly learning and feeling humbled, every day is a school day in Assetto Corsa modding. Well, on this rare occasion I kept a log. This is what more than 1 month of work on this upcoming update looks like so far, and it's still ongoing:
Added Optimised Online version, providing over 23% performance increase (but closer to 50% overall)
Improved shaders on every 3d material
Changed all the 3d, shaders and textures around all the lights to allow for lights refractions
Added 5 new textures and improved quality on 17 existing textures
Optimised textures to improve performance by more than 7% without loss of quality
Improved UV and AO mapping throughout
Fixed, cleaned, improved and optimised a lot more of the general 3d with at least 60hrs of work
Fixed steering wheel rotation
Fixed and matched caliper and brake disk position in-game
Added matching stitching on interior rear panels
Added carbon fiber handbrake to match shifter
Added ceramic brakes
Animated correct driver gear change
Improved driver steer animation
Added new seatbelts and placed them out of the way
Added gear LCD display
Added panoramic session start
Added many more options to paint interior better in CM
Improved all lights in AC and CM showroom
Improved newly added Speed Yellow skin
Revised, improved and optimised every skin
Rebuild high quality car VAO
Updated ambient shadows
Tweaked audio volumes
Improved LOD quality behaviour
Machined slick and street tyres and optimised tyre files
Improved exhaust glow look and behaviour
Optimised CSP special paint configurations
Improved brake glow behaviour
Improved existing PBR shaders
Improved all CSP lighting and behaviour in-game
Added PBR shaders for carbon fiber, leather, stitching, plastic, alcantara and carpet
Added lights refractions
Updated all CSP shader replacement
