Status Update - Sept. 22, 2022

Howdy everyone! 

Thank you again to everyone that has continued to support us during this quiet break. The three of us are definitely more rested than before and given us some room to breathe and pursue some personal art that we've been wanting to do.

It's been a little bit since I've dropped an update, but I do have something to show off regarding that personal project mentioned previously. I have been working on this casually throughout the month, and thought I should give people an overview of what the project is about.

As shown in the teaser image above, the project is called 'Family Secrets' (which I'll be abbreviating to FxS), a more DL-focused story primarily about diapers, FatherxSon (hence the name), DS, and corruption. I intend it to be a bit more extreme that what I've shown in my previous works so far, though that might be limited by my own inexperience and creativity. That's about the best way I think I can explain it as my kink vocabulary isn't as expansive as I'd like it to be.

It tells the story of a college student who, due to unforeseen circumstances, returns to his family home much earlier than usual, hoping to spend his newfound free time relaxing. When an unexpected package addressed to his father arrives at his doorstep, his curiosity gets the better of him and finds out something he shouldn't have. Discovering the secret that his otherwise respectable and beloved father has been keeping from him this whole time, he is now at a crossroads on what to do with this knowledge.

And of course it devolves into the expected depravity. 

I'm still debating whether I'll have be more of a kinetic novel (essentially just a piece of literature with sound, visuals, and a linear story) or expand my planned story to fit more of a visual novel style (where the players have a bit of agency over what happens.) This has been a pet idea of mine for a while, but I haven't thought far enough ahead in regards to what kind of product I'd want it to be.

Realistically, I don't believe I'll be able to complete the whole project this month, or even just the first chapter that I've been working on. I've made good headway with the sprites and writing, but additional drafts, cleaning up, and assembling it all together is another thing entirely and not something I'll be able to do with the time remaining (wherein I'll return to working on Everstone Daycare.)

I'll continue working on it on and off on the side if I have time, and sharing any progress here if any. I'll be spending the remainder of the month working on the first chapter a bit more and hopefully I'll have something playable sooner rather than later.
