I always enjoy the challenge of adding in a thing that the writer includes as an "if you can fit it..." note. In this case, Brad sidenoted that it'd be fun to show Wombles in the background of the last panel, looking nervous about lap-sitting. The second solution allowed space for that final punchline. Poor lil Wombles!
