Merry Catsmas To All, and To All a Good Cat.

I spent the day with my parents, partner Luke, and brother Brent, up at my folks' place in Deep Creek, Maryland. My real gift to myself was closing my laptop for a few days; my dad and brother are quietly tapping away at their devices now, so I figured it's a good time to pop on and send y'all some salutations.
I've also abandoned my phone, except to photograph the snowy view from the house:

I love a female cardinal, y'all. (Shoutout to Jess, who also loves a femmy cardinal.)
While we tap at our keyboards, Mom is separating sunflower seeds from a birdseed mix, the way a gold digger would separate gold from dirt, so that each bird feeder has the appropriate sized seeds in them. It sounds like she's practicing maracas. It's the sound of dedication, and retirement.
I spent last week focusing on handmade Christmas gifts for my family, which I'll share here later, so Elephant Town will return on the first of the year (ALREADY?!?! Okay, time!), just in time for Paul to maybe consider some resolutionsssss? We'll see!
The cat card up there was for my friend Amanda when she turned 40 a few weeks ago, but it's the same vibe I wanna send y'all this week: a chill purple cat with a hot beverage, surrounded by plants, putting a puzzle together. That's what I wish for you all this week, the weird (and hopefully laid-back) week in between holidays. Chill-purple-cat-doing-a-puzzle vibes. Thanks for hanging out with me here. :)
