I've had this page in mind for years. One of my favorite discoveries in this town.
Thanks for all the well wishes last week! I was really happy that I felt well enough a few days ago to practice drawing this one outside & on-site. If you're in town, I bet you recognize this site... and maybe the sound as well. (Points if you can guess what that sound is before Miranda explains it to us! ;) I didn't know about these until just a few years ago...)

2022-07-11 15:45:23 +0000 UTCAh how cool!! This spot, sadly, is quiet now that it's no longer spring, so I wouldn't recommend it necessarily. But the Meck's backyard beer garden is a must, and you should take a walk to Rumsey Monument for a sweet view of the Potomac River splitting Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia (the Blue Ridge Mountains are southeast of us and you can see them way downstream). If you're there when Rock Hill Creamery is open, their homemade ice cream is the best! And on weekends, our newest restaurant Alma Bea's is one of the best places in town to eat (Press Room being our mainstay). If you're not into Fancy for food, the Blue Moon is a great catch-all with the best outdoor dining in town. Hope that's not too much info for ya. ;) Enjoy!
