Elephant Town Chapter 11 (pages 9-11)

It has to be said: this romper has **POCKETTTTTTTS**

I know I said this would be up later tonight, but I woke up early this morning and got right to work: pencils, inks, colors, all before 2 pm. It's a Monday miracle.

I've started using an old-school clock radio to get me out of bed in the morning, and leaving my phone and its charger downstairs in the living room. My phone inexplicably died a week ago for about three days and then came back (an homage to Easter??), and I liked it a LOT, so I'm trying to roll some of those lost-phone habits into my routine.

Then again, my early rise may have been anticipation of new seedlings popping up in my garden. Have I shared any garden pics with you yet this year? Do you WANT garden pics? Tell me and I'll make it so.

Mine is blue, too, so much more calm than red! The landline, though - damn, you are VINTAGE sir.

I was seriously considering a Light Phone earlier this year, but there are a slew of things that we NEED smartphones for these days (parking apps, public transit, QR code menus...) and it's only gonna increase from here! Dammit all.

I use the same clock radio I've had for 40+ years. Nice warm blue numbers, not the harsh red ones every other CR seems to have. Have my landline by my bed, which very rarely rings and usually only in an emergency.

Same here. I was thinking they were older as well.

All the garden pics!! (Erika has spoiled us ๐Ÿ˜)

Garden pics!!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I too thought it was late 20s or 30s love.

Yeah, I would have bet they were older than that too. At least upper 20s.

William Cole

Love the lost-phone habits idea. Every now and then I wonder "why do I own a smartphone, again?" and (unfortunately) the list of answers to that question keeps growing. It's nice to take a break for awhile and re-learn how to operate without it.

POCKETS Now that it's warm I STILL end up wearing my pullover sweater bc it has a HUGE POUCH IN FRONT where my phones can go (I do duel Pokรฉmon GO accounts, don't judge me) and GARDEN

I really thought they were in their early 30s. Is this just me showing my age? And yes to garden picks, always.

Yes, of course we want seedlings!

Terry Peterson

Phew! So glad I'm not the only one thrown bythe age! True, I'm turning 35 so maybe I was projecting?

Jessica Bernard

Hopping on the bandwagon of yes to garden pics! <3

Garden. Pics. Garden. Pics! Whee! And yay for younger-than-expected love!

Joanna

I love that I am not the only one that thought they were older than they are. They feel like I did in my late 20s/early 30's. That, and real humans in their early 20s all look like *children* to me.
