Although your mind may alter perception of reality by self-hypnotising yourself, the outside world still plays a significant role in appraising your self worth. You can only hypnotise yourself to become great if you already view yourself as good. If you’re a train wreck of a person you have to be severely deluded to be able to view yourself as something other than a train wreck.
