Elephant Town: a Celebration of the Mundane!

Naw, I've gotta do it on purpose to help them get through the years of negativity.

Hello very good comic I am a creator and I publish horror story based on real life I hope you like it and if you want to go see some of my stories https://www.patreon.com/Miedointeso

LOL, you spoke about emphases... I literally wrote the following to Amanda F Palmer literally minutes ago: "(...)YOU are beautiful. You are BEAUTIFUL. (...)" =)

Kris seems oblivious in a general sort of way and I'm totally getting the subtle "getting hit on" vibe. Except that it's not subtle at all and it made me uncomfortable (which is saying a lot, actually).

I meant to comment last time - for pigeon pose you can rest your upper body on a bolster, or place your forehead on a block with your arms wrapped around it, for alternatives to boobs-on-the-floor.

I usually recommend to have your 2.4 and 5 GHz networks on separate SSIDs so you know which one your device is on. Having one SSID for both networks and letting your device decide makes it almost impossible to troubleshoot, because 2.4 and 5 networks aren't engineered the same, nor do they have problems for the same reasons - at least in a residential setting. Put somewhat stationary things (smart TVs, Rokus, etc.) on 5 GHz, phones and tablets on 2.4 GHz, and things like laptops can use either depending on the tradeoff of how far they're used from the base stations vs. how fast of a connection they need. Since most people don't have internet over 200-300 mpbs (or a firewall/router that can handle that), engineering your wireless network to be faster than that at the expense of reliability is a worthless tradeoff, especially in a mesh where you don't have every device sharing the same wireless channel (and thus have more aggregate wireless bandwidth anyway.) Turn off 802.11b if possible unless you know you have a device that needs it - few modern ones do. Don't let any 2.4 GHz of your networks take more than 20 MHz width (or 54 mpbs), and lock each of them to channels 1, 6 or 11 (14 is an option if you're in Japan). There's probably very little need to have your 5 GHz network be above 40 MHz. Doing both of those will make you a better neighbor and you'll be susceptible to less interference from others around you. Take those steps and I'd be amazed if you need a fourth mesh router unless you live in a concrete bunker the size of Buckingham Palace. :)

Drat, now that I think about it, most of the lesbian content I've read has been in webcomics and fanfic. I did stumble across https://thelesbianbookblog.wordpress.com/titles/ when I was trying to figure out which "Read between the lines" book you were talking about; that person has clearly managed to consume much more lesbian romance content then I have. Dunno if you're also into TV, but I loved Sense8. (Unfortunately it's only available on Netflix, so if you are avoiding them after their recent transphobia issue, that might be a non-starter.) Among other things, the queer and trans characters are whole characters who have stories and struggles and conflicts unrelated to their LGBTQ identity. They do experience discrimination, but that doesn't define them they way it does in some shows. Thank you for the recommendation!

Lisa

I don't have a lot, outside of some queer webtoons. Although, "read between the lines" is really good. Do you have recommendations? Also, I agree about the danger. I also don't know how to read the "INTERESTED". I guess we will see.

Drazi

I read it that way too. And then I went back and re-read https://www.patreon.com/posts/elephant-town-5-45015569 and that surprise shoulder touch seems to underscore the point. It's a bit uncomfortable/concerning IMO. Both because of the teacher/student power dynamic, and the fact that it feels a bit dangerous to go into a non-public space with someone who may have those intentions when you're not expecting it and they're not being upfront about it. (Or maybe Kris's "INTERESTED" means that she's into it too, but I'm reading her as being oblivious to the subtext.) And no, of course there's no such thing as too much lesbian romance. Any you'd particularly recommend?

Lisa

Aw look at that!! Hi Lana, glad to give you at least one character with your name! (I totally get it!)

Danielle Corsetto

I love it! And yeah, we have 3 mesh routers in our old weird house and are considering a 4th for the one room that gets bizarre, inexplicable dropouts.

Amy Crook

A character named Lana! As someone with the name I am always WAY to excited when I meet other Lanas :)

Lana Phillips

Cue angelic chorus.

Hugh Eckert

The Bridge Over the River Wi(Fi).

Nobody sucks at yoga, but some people need more help than others.

Dean Reilly

I might be reading too much lez romance lately (is there such a thing as too much), it seems like her yogi teacher has a interest. 🥰
