Two rad things I said yes to: Trash Heroes and Spitball!

Hey pals, I know some of you are just here for my comics, but I'd be remiss to not share with you the other little things I've dipped my fingers into lately, in case you're curious!

Trash Heroes!

We had our third live session of our DnD campaign Trash Heroes last Saturday (it's every-other Saturday), which you can find all the recordings of here. I believe you can follow/subscribe to Alina's Twitch channel if you wanna watch the next one live!

I'm playing with Jeph Jacques (Questionable Content),  Randy Milholland (Something*Positive), Alina Pete (Weregeeks), and Peter Chiykowski (Rock Paper Cynic), so it's all old-school webcomic peeps. And TO ADD TO THE OLD-SCHOOL WEBCOMIC FLAVOR, fuckin Lar deSouza (Least I Could Do, LFG) has been drawing incredible FAN ART of our characters, LOOK AT THIS STUFF!!

I'm linking directly to Lar's tweets so you can see them bigger in full context (and so I can nudge you to follow Lar's Twitter):

Guys, Lar is an unbelievable artist. He's doing commissions through May 31st to raise funds for the MS Society, so if you want him to draw something for you, now is definitely the time to sign up!

Spitball!

CCAD just made their students' anthology Spitball available, which is a pairing of seasoned writers with student artists; the writers write a five-page comic, and their talented-ass students choose which story they want to illustrate.

I wrote a little five-page story called Mortifying, and was fortunate to have the fantastic Vin Mugavero choose to draw my story. (Appropriate to the Trash Heroes theme, Vin's Instagram handle is garbagepatch.)

Surprising no one, our story's about a ghost.

If you wanna read the whole thing (+ stories by Lucy Bellwood, Steve Leiber, Matt Lubchansky, and a bunch of others), you can order here! I think preorders end next week, so it'd be especially helpful to them if you order it soon.

I ordered just the book, which is $10 (with kinda pricy shipping, just a heads-up!), but there are other options with some cool doodads they made, if you're more of a Whole Package kind of person.

Alright, that's it! That's most of the cool stuff I'm doing that's not Elephant Town, minus my garden. :) Happy Thursday to ya!

YASSS GHOSTS OUR OLD (REAL OLD) FRIENDS!

Thank you!

Nobilis Reed (personal)

Just asked! I'll let ya know if I get an answer. :)

Danielle Corsetto

Aww thank you hon! I wish I could've joined the Friday session, sounds like it was fun. :)

Danielle Corsetto

Thanks for sharing that! And for joining us, that's so heartwarming. :)

Danielle Corsetto

Aw I'm so glad you're enjoying the recordings! And YEAH, Lar is like lightening!!!

Danielle Corsetto

Aw thanks for ordering it!!

Danielle Corsetto

Hey Danielle, any chance of having the audio portion of the Trash Heroes recordings uploaded here as "audio episodes"? YouTube is so much more inconvenient.

Nobilis Reed (personal)

Trash Heroes gives me the good feels for humans right now, so thank you all for doing it! I also attended the Friday session a couple weeks ago and loved hearing about the background, mechanics, and philosophy of play insights. Glorpa is wonderfully awkward, and I love her spirit so much! ♥

NJGR

Been watching Trash Heros since day one; it's definitely worth watching (note: it is 4 hours long with a break at hour 2). Having Lar in the peanut gallery is definitely a bonus. If you donate ($40) to their MS fund, you can watch him draw your avatar on Twitch Friday nights starting at 8 PM EST (he bumps anyone in the chat who has donated).

I've really been enjoying Trash Heroes. Can't follow live because of time zones, unfortunately, but been watching the recordings. And Lar's fan art is just amazing, not to mention really really fast!

Peter Jensen

Ordered spit ball, on your say-so. Yeah, the shipping is expensive.

Laura J Testa-Reyes

Totally plug Lar, he is indeed amazing!
