Elephant Town Chapter 3 (pages 9-12)

Partially true story, back when some friends worked at a hippie restaurant in my hometown. A patron sent back a bowl of hummus because it was giving off "bad vibes." The waiter politely returned the bowl to the kitchen, had his coworkers hurl insults at it, and brought the same bowl back to the patron, who was pleased with his new and improved hummus.

The service industry's a racket, but they sure get some good stories.

(I was gonna add a backstory about Creamy Neil, but there's a chance he'll make an actual cameo later, so I'll leave it 'til then. ;)

**sorry if you got this twice! the first one looked like it didn't go through!

I sense a thickening plot! (gotta say, the ciggie-pitching in the last panel is making me twitch. I presume that's on purpose....)

We once made the mistake of moving into a home that came with a *very* interesting flatmate. She believed if we stayed the rooms she claimed as hers for too long we would suck out all of her positive. Never been so happy to be kicked out of anywhere in my life.

I liked Girls With Slingshots a lot even though half of it made me feel quite uncomfortable and sad (which was done really well!) – so I’m really optimistic about your work. =)

MyOtheHedgeFox

Somehow, it's both not that, and at the same time it *IS* that. He's a special man.

"Creamy Neil"? I'm trying not to imagine many of the potential reasons for that nickname. ;-)

Getting a little post-dinner high and Berto's second guessing what to do next. Yes? No? Edit: I just noticed the filter, so that's obv a cigarette and not a doob. Nevermind. LOL *Everything* about this is so damned perfect. I feel like I'm eavesdropping from a car in the parking lot. You've already made these two come to life and the apartments are really beautifully rendered.

Ruth Merriam

Gwaaah, I love how natural their conversations are. It's so good.

If you like cozy, you'll definitely like this book. Well, at least half of it. ;)

Aww, Ben, hi and thank you. :)

Geez-Louise, Dani, this is one of the coziest story archs I’ve seen in a webcomic ever. Thank you so much for planning this so far. =)

MyOtheHedgeFox

I'm enjoying every bit of this.

Ben Hatke

_So_ many nice, highly-observed details here in the writing and the art.

Andy Ihnatko

Dishwashing was tough work but I was always glad I didn't have to deal with the customers.

Mitchell Sealy

All of the faces on p12 are so exceptionally expressive. Wow!
