taking a week off for my community... and sleep
Added 2020-08-17 03:02:18 +0000 UTCI HATE to rob you guys of an Elephant Town update for any reason, but I currently feel like this molting cicada, and you deserve better than a comic colored by a squishy weird-looking bug with wings that resemble my "clean" laundry pile.
In short, I agreed to too many community projects this month I knew I'd probably have to take a week off from E Town to finish them. On the bright side, all the projects are art related, so I'll be sharing them with you since you have to wait an extra week for the comic.
I'm sorry I couldn't cram everything into these two weeks! I'm going to bed now, and hopefully tomorrow I'll transform from that tender weakling cicada above into this fresh, vibrant, ready-to-dive-bomb-you-in-the-face bug that it became.
PS, I don't expect anyone to feel obligated to continue their patronage if this week off upsets you! You can always delete or lower your pledge at any time, and just hit the "follow" button instead. If you do, you'll still see every comic update for the next couple of months (the first four chapters are free and we're in chapter 3 now). Do what's most comfortable for you, it's cool!

I'm here to support you as a creative person - that means supporting your right to focus on other projects, switch projects entirely, or whatever suits your creative needs - and ALSO to rest and be a healthy human! 2020-08-17 11:35:15 +0000 UTCIf were living out one of those science fiction stories where I'm the victim of a cosmic anomaly and I'm forced to keep traveling through alternate Earths to try to find my way back home, and I've been doing it for a thousand years and I'm so discouraged that I'm willing to settle for one that's even just familiar, and I FINALLY locate an Earth that is 100% identical to this one in every way, EXCEPT that people molt and leave husks of their bodies behind like this...naw I'd get back in the ship the moment I encountered my first one and keep right on looking. Even the Earth that ruled by Butterfly Mermaid Hitler has to be less creepy.
