Tomorrow (8/15) starting at 9 am*, my friend Emily and I will be painting scenes on two benches that'll be placed somewhere in Shepherdstown afterwards, and you're welcome to come watch us and ask questions if you'd like. We'll be nicely tucked away behind a fence, so you can keep a safe distance without worrying about forgetting that there's a pandemic going on (honestly, it's easy to forget in my tiny little town). We'll be painting til 4 in the afternoon and despite the parking meters, parking will be free throughout town. Here's the deets:
My bench design is a nod to Elephant Town (which, as you probably know, takes place here in Shepherdstown). I'll probably share photos of the finished product once it's done! Unless it's terrible. Eh, probably even if it's terrible. Either way let's find out if I remember how to paint!
*as you can tell by the 9 am start time, the organizers are not artists. I'll be awake!! Kinda!
