Graphic Novel Progress

Last night I spent a few hours listening to podcasts and music while sketching up the secondary characters in the graphic novel I'm working on. It's weirdly difficult for me to write their dialogue without giving them faces first. Imagine if I wrote prose novels!

If you've been a patron for awhile you already know this, but in May I'm shelving a big project that's been taking up much more time than I'd expected, in order to make space to work on this book. I regret that I haven't had much to show you guys over the last few months, but I've been quietly plugging away at it nonetheless. Here's a little list of what I've been up to:

I'm holding off on the agent/publisher search until the aforementioned Big Project has been put to bed. I figure it'll be better to go into it with a more fleshed-out synopsis for the book, anyway.

(I wish I had a title for this damn thing, so I could stop calling it just "the book"... but... gotta be patient, it'll come!).

Thank you, as always, for making it possible for me to put time into doing things like thoroughly designing characters, and reading painfully mesmerizing subreddits in the name of making this book better (-slash-painful) than it would be if I were rushing it! <3

I also love going down a research rabbit hole. And more often than not, my work is stronger for it. Keep going!

Well, whatever you create is going to be great. So there.

We'll all be Watching This Space for a title. :-) Take care of your eyes.
