RWBY Volume 6 Chapter 4 Notes
Added 2018-11-24 21:51:39 +0000 UTC- Only 13 minutes. I can accept this honestly, given the last episode was 26 minutes, and this is really just an aftermath chapter.
- Poor Oscar. I know Qrow is angry, and rightfully so, but can we not take it out on the innocent boy who didn’t ask to be possessed?
- I sincerely hope they don’t take their anger out on him, because it looks from the intro like Jaune very well might.
- But wow, Qrow got further character depth and a bit of development. I’m happy they solidified he joined Oz’s cause because he needed a sense of purpose. We needed that in Volume 5.
- Jeremy thought that Qrow might be kidnapped by Salem, which might prove good for the heroes if his bad luck Semblance kicks in around them.
- However, he went a step further and suggested Qrow might turn to Salem’s side out of resentment for Oz and need of purpose. I don’t think he genuinely would want to given these guys likely murdered Summer and presumably tried to murder Ruby, but it’s possible. Just look at Hazel.
- Or what if he joins Salem as a double agent in hopes his Semblance would stop her? Ooh, that’d be cool. It’d hurt me deeply inside but it’d be cool.
- GOD BLESS YOU, GRANDMA CALAVERA. PUT THOSE BITCHES IN THEIR PLACE.
- We at long last get to see Salem’s castle. Just kidding, we get to see the basic-ass landing strip and a basic-ass entrance. Oh well. It’s something. Interesting it seems to be based of dark crystals, though.
- Tyrian’s back and damn he is still a psycho. Him cutting himself on Emerald’s weapon… ew. Just… ew.
- I live for Mercury backing Emerald up. Coworkers that kinda hated each other turned best buds desperately trying to survive the hellscape.
- Salem is now terrifying and actually threatening. She flips a table, summons the hands of imp Grimms to nearly strangle Hazel, and then derpily screams breaking all her nice-ass windows. Same, Salem. Same.
- Interesting her next target was Shade Academy though. Yes it’s less fortified than Atlas, but I thought that was why it was going to be left for last. Atlas is so stressed and obsessed with strength it’d be easy to take them down from the inside.
- When I saw the farm, I legitimately went “Oh no… NOT ANOTHER HOUSE.” But no seriously please don’t spend the next seven chapters chilling in this fucking farm please.
- Though interesting it’s called Brunswick Farms. I wonder if it’s somehow related to a certain Mr. Torchwick. If Neo comes back, we might get to see her and Roman’s backstories. Given Mistral has a huge black market, perhaps Roman had his start on Anima.
- Though it might also remind Oscar of home. Perhaps we’ll at long last see the decisive moment he left home and confronted his nameless, faceless, aunt?
- $10 this fucking farm is haunted / home to some nasty Grimm.
