RWBY Rewrite_Season 1 (Volumes 1 - 3)
Added 2018-02-16 17:00:02 +0000 UTCSo I've been talking quite a lot about how I love to rewrite shows, and my plans to make animatics for those rewrites one day before staring off dramatically at the horizon.
So imma try to explain it a bit more here. The first season for RWBY would be the Beacon / Vale arc, roughly covering the first three volumes with some touches here and there. Each episode is roughly 24 minutes, with premiere / finale episodes reaching about 30 minutes.
I wanna note that a lot of ideas for the Volume 1 portion - Episodes 1 through 7 - I got from Celtic Phoenix' video on Fixing RWBY Volume One. I recommend getting popcorn to enjoy the ride.
You can see my rewrite notes for season 2 (Volumes 4 and 5) by becoming one of my Unicorn Children!
EPISODES:
1. "Red, White, Black, and Yellow"
- Follows the events of the four Color Trailers. Opens with Salem and Ozpin's dialogue, then flows into Red Trailer, then White, then Black, then Yellow. We see the beginning of "Ruby Rose," and the episode ends right when Ruby shuts off her headphones.
- After the Red Trailer segment, we see Ruby arriving home (With Zwei at her feet cuz Zwei is beautiful). She finds a letter from Yang that she had to go to Vale for a bit, and Ruby goes after her.
- After Weiss' training session, the inspectors criticize her skill. They ask why she wants to attend Beacon instead of Atlas Academy, and why she wants to be a huntress at all. Klein offers Weiss coffee, but she storms out. We don't see Klein's face, only him holding the tray. With a crossfade, the coffee becomes a cup of tea in Blake's hands.
- Blake's true name is Rajani "Raja" Purnima. I didn't feel her name fit with her parents' names. Blake Belladonna is an alias she uses to live in hiding (Because people would know she was the daughter of the White Fang's founder otherwise.).
- We see Blake sitting by Lake Persici in Forever Fall after leaving Adam.
- Adam asks about Blake's bow, but she tries to distract from it.
- Junior's nightclub is known as the Three Bears Nightclub.
- Yang took a photo of Junior talking with Roman, threatening to expose him if he doesn't tell her about Raven. The fight breaks out from Junior trying to get Yang's scroll.
- Yang and Ruby don't run into each other at the end of Yang's segment. Ruby is in Vale and encounters Roman the same night Yang is at the nightclub.
2. "The Shining Beacon"

- On the airship to Beacon, Ruby mentions how Tai was hesitant to let her go to Beacon early.
- Cardin picks on Jaune in the locker room briefly.
3. "The Emerald Forest"
- Roughly covers Volume 1 Chapters 5 - 8.
- The only Grimm in the episode are the King Taijitu, Nevermore, and Death Stalker to add to their threat level. The Emerald Forest was said to have no Grimm - only regular animals.
- Team CRDL tries to fight the King Taijitu, but Cardin is the one who slays it.

- Penny introduces herself and winds up helping, showing off her super strength.
- Team CFVY, as RWBY's mentors, bond with them: Coco with Ruby; Fox with Weiss; Velvet with Blake; and Yatsuhashi with Yang.
- The episode ends with Ruby and Weiss dueling, with Weiss winning and demoralizing Ruby.
5. "Jaunedice"
- Roughly covers Volume 1 Chapters 11 - 14.
- As they get supplies for the Forever Fall trip, Ruby and Blake bond over their taste in books. Blake is surprised at Ruby enjoying darker and more mature novels, and Ruby explains that she often found the original fairy tales which were more gruesome. In spite of the world's darkness, she wants to try an make it better, and this intrigues Blake.

6. "The Stray"
- Roughly covers Volume 1 Chapter 15.
- Weiss and Sun battle briefly when Weiss goes after him, and Blake steps in so Sun can run off.
- Roman is cornered by a huntsman, but that huntsman is then killed by Neo. This is to set up for Roman's heist next episode.
- Weiss explains her anti-Faunus sentiment when Blake tries to stop Cardin from bullying Velvet. Ruby goes to get Team CFVY and they break up the argument.
- Blake stays with Tukson, who helped her - along with others - leave the White Fang and start a new life. Yang finds her thanks to Penny.

RANDOM NOTES:
- The kingdoms are referred to as republics since they all have councils. They were formerly known as the Kingdom of Vale, the Queendom of Vacuo, the Mistralian Empire, and the Mantle Union (Briefly the Republic of Mantle). Vytal also has its own council and government (The Republic of Vytal.).
- "This Will Be The Day" is the intro song for episodes 1 - 7. "Time to Say Goodbye" is the intro song for episodes 8 - 13. "When it Falls" is the intro song for episodes 14 - 21.
- "Gold" is the outro song for episodes 2 - 7. "This Will Be The Day ~ Acoustic" is the outro song for episodes 9 - 13. "Time to Say Goodbye ~ Acoustic" is the outro song for episodes 15 - 20.
- When a person engages her Aura, we see it flash over them. When Aura isn't engaged, it passively heals the user; when Aura is engaged it acts as a force field coating the body.
