Original Cats Video

This video is an unlisted version of the original Cats video that I uploaded to YouTube.
At 9am on the Monday after the holidays, 5 days after it went live (and was cleared by the Content ID bot) the video got slammed by manual claims from Universal Music Group (UMG).
Initially I thought it was just 3 claims, but after going through them it looks like YouTube isn't showing me exactly how many there are.
Now normally I'd just let it be, have a drink, play a game or two and just let it go, but I spent WAY too much time on this video to let UMG have it and I've tried fighting it.
Unfortunately, I have yet to hear a story from someone with THIS many MANUAL claims by UMG that's gotten away totally free without some kind of special circumstances (like UMG literally forgetting to file the counter-claim's counter-claim and the whole thing expiring, which I don't think is going to happen with me).
So I tried replacing some of the music with the YouTube Content ID tool, and I've tried muting others, but like I said, YouTube didn't really let me know exactly how bad the manual claim was (so much for transparency) so as of right now all of Gus is either replaced or muted, and it looks like it's going to be the same with Jenny Anydots.
SO.
Since it looks like I've butchered the live video to the point of no return, I wanted to make sure that you all would have access to a clean version with no replaced or muted music.
And since this is an unlisted video it should (hopefully) stay away from the prying eyes of UMG's unpaid interns. *knock on wood*
tl;dr, here's a version that you can show your friends that doesn't sound like a mediashare livestream.

The uncensored unlisted one got claimed as well, just to a lesser degree. This is probably, unfortunately, as good as we can get.

2023-06-08 13:34:59 +0000 UTCI consider myself so lucky of being able to see the vid as it was intended, Its so sad to see that even some parts on the second version had to be muted because of BS claims of a company and zero help from youtube, it will never not make me mad that they dared to abuse the system on smth that is SO OBVIOUS falls under fair use, and if there is any way for helping you fight this and ur willing to please let us know cus dammit, this had so much work and its so interesting and smart
