So this was remarkably difficult to make, not just because of all of the information, but because I had several drafts of this script that included as much detail as I could fit.
And as much fun as it would have been, I'm just not sure my channel is ready for a 40 minute video on opera. Maybe one day.
Also, coming up with a way to articulate how I feel I've seen leitmotifs be used was also extremely difficult. Especially considering how I really haven'y been able to find any sources online that talk about leitmotifs "transforming" but not "transforming" into another, separate leitmotif.
Unless we're talking about Liszt's Symphonic Poems, which were basically leitmotifs, I think, even though there wasn't a concrete story that it was synchronized to, except that there was, I don't know, this all gets really complicated really quickly.
This is definitely a topic I'm going to have to revisit someday, but in the meantime,
