Studien und Plaudereien First Series (Chapter 1/12 | 23 pages)

Studien und Plaudereien of Sigmon Martin Stern dates back to the end of 19th century when the natural/direct approach started to flourish. As a predecessor, it is a rather archaic version of Arthur Jensen's Nature Method books and Hans Ørberg's LLPSI but it is still probably the best book written which teaches German through German only. (Considering the rarity of such books for any language, we must regard ourselves lucky that this book is still available and useful for the contemporary learner.) Just like the other books we share with you, this book starts with very basic self-interpreting sentences and leads the student to read very complex sentences in German.

The book consists of 2 volumes, excluding the readers made ready by the same author for further readings. For the contemporary reader the book is transcribed into familiar Latin script and shared thus by Project Gutenberg. Those who are into older versions of the book with prefaces concerning the method based on which the book was prepared can find them with a simple google search.

Our goal is to fill a crucial gap by rendering available all the audio recordings of not only the first volume but also the second and the readers prepared for further reading.

(The audio attached to this post contains the entire chapter #1 out of 12 chapters which makes the body of the first volume.)

Hello! I would like to download these audios so I can listen to them while walking and hiking, can you please enable them to be downloaded?

John

Hallo! Is there a PDF available of this one? Or is Gutenberg the only option? Thank you!

Danke!
