I was recently contacted by Vice magazine about these photos with the tomb of Victor Noir in Père Lachaise cemetery, so I thought I would post some of them here. Of course there is a video if you search the #vault posts.
These were all shot on film by Christophe Mourthé during my first visit to Paris. I had remembered seeing a bit on this gravesite when I was a kid on that 80s television show called “That’s Incredible!“ I absolutely loved that show, and there were a few things I saw on there that always stuck with me through adulthood. Another one is of a nun who was perfectly and naturally preserved, I believe she is in France near the town of Lourdes. I always wanted to visit but I didn’t have a chance. And I also remember seeing on that show that gorgeous mechanical Silver Swan that is in the Bowes Museum. I really hope I get to see it one day!
Most of you probably have heard me talk about theses images already. I also unearthed this image of me with Oscar Wilde’s tomb as well, this was before it was protected by plexiglass lass. I did not kiss the wall, as I felt it was disrespectful after visiting Victor. 🖤
