Good afternoon! There were a few requests for causal hairstyles, so today I whipped through a few variations on my daily chignon/twist.
I thought I would see how it went if I filmed it by myself on my phone, and I also left the blunders in, because, well, why not? Hair doesn’t always cooperate how we want it too, so I go with the flow.
When I first wanted to learn how to do vintage hairstyles in the early 90s, I didn’t have any easy way to learn except my own trial and error by studying vintage photos and movies. Nowadays there are tutorials everywhere, and my ways aren’t the only ways, but they’re the methods I’ve found with my intense drive to have glamorous hair.
Next I am going to show you another type of rolled chignon, and later a halo twist, and next month, some serious bouffant 1940s victory rolls and bumper bangs. I’ve been on several time-period films and TV shows, and when it comes to victory rolls, I’m an expert! I most often do it myself as the beauty team watches.
Let me know what you think…I have more to show you, and I am listening to your requests, so put them in the comments, along with any questions and clarifications you might desire.
