Thank You for taking my suggestion! This artist is one of my favorites and he's from Chattanooga, just up 2 hour drive from me! Yes, he's mainly a rapper but he's takes a lot of influence from Memphis Blues and Jazz while also being inspired by many Memphis rappers like Three Six Mafia and Project Pat(which R.I.P. Young samples). His music mostly deals with the troubles he had with depression and his addiction to drugs and alcohol which actually almost got him dropped from the label Kendrick Lamar was also a part of which is why they're on a track together. He's more subtle in lyrical content because he's a artist that wants to let the music sweep you in than throw punchlines at you, so he's more of a viber's artist. But the songs Silkk da Shocka( He's a rapper) and Wat's Wrong are part of story on the album The Sun's Tirade which delves further into his addiction problems and his first album The Cilvia Demo is more lyrically dense, you should check both of them out if you liked this
