Harmony Girls v0.4 Development Update #8

With a large heat wave in my area, I learned that I can't create renders without turning my new office space into a sauna. So I put the still renders I need to create on the back burner and focused on programming and integration this week. The new changes for money are looking good but I've still got some programming to do as well as major testing to make sure it flows well at all stages of game progression. Eventually you'll have more money then you'll know what to do with, but that should happen much latter than just the first week of the game.
I've also been working on event and character integration, a normal process for every update where I tie all of the new content together. These are small things like creating hints, gallery images and events, programming new character actions, etc. Each update typically requires 2-3 days of development just for this, so it's nice to have it out of the way (it also tends to be very boring).
Today is the last day of heat in my area, so I'll be back to creating the last still renders for this update tomorrow. After that I'm hoping to wrap up the programming and testing very soon and have this update out. We're in the final stretch now! This may be the final development update but that will depend on how the testing goes for the new money system, something which is hard to put a time constraint on.
