[VERY IMPORTANT] I NEED a Show of Hands

ICYMI: For the 2nd time in recent months Patreon's bent over to appease a company that actively and openly hates NSFW creators, in this case Apple. Previously it was VISA/Mastercard. Next time it will be someone else and it will probably be worse.
While this current change doesn't make or break anything for me personally YET, it's a clear growing trend of giving in to these companies and it makes me very nervous (if you don't remember, Tumblr did similar things specifically with Apple not long before they axed us). So I am now looking more actively at transitioning to SubscribeStar (Note: DON'T SWITCH YET, this is to try and figure out how best to go about it. For now I'm still using Patreon) because it seems the smart thing to do to switch on my own terms instead of waiting for Patreon to kick us all out.
So lets do this for now.
ASSUMING THE PRICE IS MORE OR LESS THE SAME AND YOU COULD SWITCH TO SUBSTAR WITHOUT GETTING DOUBLE-BILLED THAT MONTH*, WOULD YOU BE READY AND WILLING TO SWITCH TO A SUBSTAR SUBSCRIPTION FOR MY WORK.
*Meaning, you already got charged by Patreon like normal, but the switch happens and you don't get charged for SubStar until the following month thus avoiding double-billing.
Please vote on one of the options below. Even if you're new, or you're old, whichever tier you are, even if you've never engaged with me in any way aside from subbing to this page, please vote!! With a better idea of how many subs I can expect to make the switch, I can plan it out properly.

2024-09-02 21:54:18 +0000 UTCI have no problem with switching to SubStar. I do however suggest you have a archive of your stuff so it is easier for us subs to d/l. Or, start attaching a .zip.

2024-08-23 00:20:28 +0000 UTCI understand, but the thing is that it's becoming more of an inevitability that Patreon is going to royally fuck it's NSFW creators, probably sooner rather than later based on past experiences. The app won't matter if the creators aren't here at all to begin with.

2024-08-12 16:48:29 +0000 UTCYeah I get that, only thing with substar is it doesn’t have an app and with Patreon although my payments aren’t through the AppStore payment system I still use the app and find it way easier to navigate than the browser because I’m always logged in and get notifications direct instead of clogging my emails. Also from what I’ve seen I’m not sure about the way substar does its payments, like there’s a few variants to use but idk, just be a shame to lose ana amazing direct link for all my Ahsoka material, and yours is always gorgeous, just the whole style and aesthetic you have with her is just stunning

2024-08-12 16:24:00 +0000 UTCGood question. No, my thinking is to continue to upload to both platforms until Patreon inevitably fucks things up irreparably. The goal is mainly just to switch where the majority of my monthly income is based so that it's secure for the inevitable time when Patreon kicks NSFW creators off at the behest of these companies. That will probably involve doing things like SubStar exclusives to get people to switch, but it won't involve shutting down this page. That said, anyone who does switch, I don't expect them to sub to both but when that time comes I would prefer if they subbed to SubStar. But as long as enough people make the switch to where if Patreon disappeared the next day my rent would still be covered, that's all I really worry about. I hope that answered your question!
