The Lospec Gallery Has Entered Closed Beta!
Added 2022-10-31 16:22:30 +0000 UTCAfter years of work, the Lospec Gallery is finally ready for some initial testing! You will be the very first people to test it out (along with kickstarter donators).
Current Features
The current features are:
- uploading art submissions / thumbnail selection
- viewing art by category
- pixel art and standard image viewers
- liking/commenting
I recently did many large upgrades to the Lospec backend, most notably rewriting how submission form fields world, and moving all thumbnail generation off the main Lospec server. Now that most of that is done I can finally spend more time working on the front end (aka adding useful features).
Coming Soon
There are still quite a few features I would like to add before the gallery launches in full, here are some:
- display of gallery submissions on lospec homepage
- sorting by subcategory
- easy importing from other websites / social media
- kickstarters list at the bottom of page
Because not all features have been implemented, you probably don't want to upload every piece you've ever made quite yet, just give it a try with a few, and see what you think about the process.
Feedback
Since it's only been tested by me on my computer and my files, people are bound to run into issues, which is the point of this closed beta release.
You are welcome to share screenshots of the gallery on social media if you wish, just know that any links starting with lospec.com/gallery will not be viewable by anyone except patrons and kickstarters!
