Roadmap January 2024: The Coarse Curse and Take to Heart

Though it isn't fully guaranteed, as things might shuffle and change; I'd still like to share my plans this year.

The start of January marks the end of the first episode of the NSFW comic 'The Coarse Curse' which got overwhelming support. I plan to continue this series (Yes, you heard it right.) this year with Episode 2; likely in February.  This episode will have a much longer SFW part than Episode 1 and will explore more character development and story. Episode 1 focused on introducing the plot and characters while the next installation further develops the motives and the lore behind the comic.

I've had this strict scope with The Coarse Curse where it'll only last three episodes. But it might not tell everything I want to tell with little parts. I'm still keeping it that way for cohesion and scope sake, but will likely create extra side stories if I ever want to or need to.  The Third Episode may be the longest as it will essentially end the main story the series is telling; concluding the relationships and giving resolution to everything.

The reason I want The Coarse Curse to be relatively short is because I want it to be a complete story and not a series I'd continuously perpetuate. The whole idea behind it is it is a test to see if I even want to start a NSFW comic in the first place. I created the idea and the characters I got attached to so I'd force myself to continue a NSFW comic. And it worked. I wouldn't have started it if I wouldn't be proud making it. I'm likely going to start another one after it with new characters and a new idea (preferably nothing similar). But like with any writer, I have to keep starting something fresh or I'll go insane.

I'd also like to attempt to create more pages for my main comic Take to Heart again this year. It's hopeful but I'd like to finish it this year or the next. It is pretty much halfway done. Funny that it took me so long trying to finish this comic that I actually have lost my passion for the story. Which I expected would happen to The Coarse Curse as well, so I planned ahead to have it end.
