What are your thoughts on alpha hair?
Added 2023-04-10 10:25:25 +0000 UTCHello everyone. I've been quite busy I have been working on my 3D art portfolio in order to get employment in the industry. However, I have put my time aside and will release some content again.
I put this poll up simply because I will happen to be creating alpha style hair for my portfolio. I find it's generally easier to make. How would you feel if I started making alpha style hair? I would still try to make maxis match hair also.

I agree, maxis match hair looks fantastic these days. There are so much more great looking mm variants out there than decent looking alpha hairstyles. Nevertheless I found my style. I enjoy happy people with passion for what they love <3

2024-06-17 08:08:52 +0000 UTCI don't know why people seem to be so limited and only root for or discard one style or the other, I think both MM and Alpha are great (despite overwhelmingly liking Alpha way more) - why not try and see if it suits you and you enjoy it? I personally prefer the look and quality of alpha content far more than MM but understand that people may not, that's why both would be great to see! At least I'd suggest an approach that merges the two, say more detailed MM that doesn't look like clay or with no definition/texture/lighting. Good luck figuring out what works best for you!

2023-04-10 21:59:38 +0000 UTCAlpha hair looks awesome in CAS & Blender, it's good for photoshoots with lots of lighting mods. But for regular gameplay, it glitches like crazy, even worse if there are any other alpha layers nearby like windows, mirrors, or trees. Maxis Match will appease most players. JohnnySims has been making Maxis Match hairs that LOOK LIKE alpha hairs, with intricate strands and shine, maybe try his methods?
