Community Brainstorm: More Lethal Types?

Helloooo, hello!

We're back with another community question: how can we kill Stuffy in new ways?

No, we don't have it out for them... Fine, maybe a little bit. Maybe we do enjoy tossing them to their demise, but that's our business... okay?

We currently have a few ideas planned, with some being placeholders (more or less) and others being feature-complete. Here are a few lethal types we're already dealing with:

Our goal is to cover the essentials, first giving players enough lethal expression. However, many lethal types are functionally the same but visually different.

Now, there are also lethal types that have special properties, like fire (bounce off on first hit) and quicksand or frost (stay in contact long enough to die).

We're already considered other types including gas/poison and tar. Functionally these will be the same as existing lethals, but visually they will differ. For example, gas would force the material underneath to be invisible and non-colliding. When inside, you'd take damage until death after some seconds. For tar, you'd sink like quicksand, honey, etc.

While we've considered the idea of making water a lethal type, we also don't want this to be a decision we later regret should Stuffy learn to swim someday. So you'll need to creatively assemble that one on your own!

All things considered, what sort of lethal would you absolutely want to have?

What do you think might be missing? ...or do you think we've covered the basics already?

I'm hoping we get some kind of water material or hazard to be able to make levels you can swim. 🌊

Ok Trixel creative what are your thoughts on creating enemie "Monster Brain" or a monster ai (Ground, Air, or Water ai. That could simmilar to Little big planet creates many cool new ideas of level design

I've already seen some people floating around the idea of a hazard that hinders stuffys movement by making them slower and stopping them from jumping Anyway I think Mud could be a goof fit visually for that type of hazard

Goatwoof

This might seem like a bizarre choice, but what about a foliage-based lethal type where if Stuffy stays on it for too long, they slowly get replaced by vines and flowers from the inside out, until they eventually become a topiary?
