WAVE 19 : HERO

Hello everyone!
I hope you're all well. It's reveal day for our monthly token!
First and foremost, I wanted to create a Hero token in line with current MTGXFinal Fantasy events. You may not have missed that I've given a lot to this set, which has allowed me to express my fondness for the IP.
If you follow me on certain networks, I recently posted a couple of messages about the video game “Expédition 33”, which I, just like many gamers, recently discovered.
Quick presentation : Expedition 33 is a French turn-based RPG developed by Sandfall Interactive.
While I'd have many things to say and much to praise about how refreshing this game is in a videogame field sometimes saturated with overly stereotyped and underachieved products, I'll stick to the main editorial line of this Patreon: the artistic side.
I was delighted by the overall atmosphere of this game, with its strong Belle Epoque accents, and by the clever way the creative team used the Art Deco style in a universe where everything remains consistent with this initial choice. In my opinion, we're in an era of video games (or cinema, for that matter) where technical profusion is sometimes confused with beauty and good taste.
Expedition 33 largely avoids this pitfall: it offers a vision, a real vision, and fully embraces and masters it.
And as it also comes with a gameplay that would make most of the genre's behemoths turn pale, a truly interesting narrative that never insults the player's intelligence, and an equally chiseled score, it's impossible for me not to share with you, via this token, my enthusiasm for this artwork.

A small visual note: the Japanese translation of this token is currently being checked, so the writing in this language may not be 100% accurate on what you see here for the time being. It's just a detail, but I wanted to make it clear!

J’espère que vous allez bien. C’est jour de reveal pour notre token du mois.
En premier lieu, j’ai souhaité créer un token Hero en concordance avec l’actualité MTGXFinal Fantasy. Il ne vous aura pas échappé que j’ai beaucoup donné à ce set qui m’a permis d’exprimer ma grande affection pour la license.
Ensuite, si vous me suivez sur certaines réseaux, j’ai dernièrement posté un ou deux petits messages au sujet du jeu vidéo « Expédition 33 » que j’ai, comme beaucoup de joueurs, découvert récemment.
Pour une rapide présentation, Expédition est un RPG tour par tour Français développé par Sandfall Interactive.
Si j’aurais bien des choses à dire et bien des louanges à faire sur ce que ce jeu apporte, à mon sens, de rafraîchissant dans un espace vidéoludique parfois saturé de produits par trop stéréotypés et peu aboutis, je m’en tiendrai à la ligne éditoriale principale de ce Patreon : le versant artistique.
J’ai été enchantée de l’ambiance générale de ce jeu, aux forts accents de la Belle Epoque, de la manière intelligente dont l’équipe créative a intégré le style Art Déco à un univers où tout entre en cohérence avec ce choix initial. Nous sommes, selon moi, dans une ère du jeu vidéo (ou même du cinéma d’ailleurs), où le foisonnement technique est parfois confondu avec la beauté et le bon goût. Expédition 33 évite très largement cet écueil : il propose une vision, une vraie, assumée et maîtrisée.
Et comme il y ajoute un gameplay à faire pâlir la plupart des mastodontes du genre, une narration vraiment intéressante qui n’insulte jamais l’intelligence du joueur, et une bande-son tout aussi ciselée , impossible pour moi de ne pas partager avec vous, via ce token, mon enthousiasme pour cette oeuvre.

Petite note visuelle : la traduction japonaise de ce token est en cours de vérification, donc l’écriture dans cette langue peut ne pas être contractuelle sur ce que vous voyez là pour le moment. C’est un détail, mais je voulais vous le préciser !
