(IMPORTANT : Please read) Wave 15 Token...s!

I have a little announcement for you.
Given the result of the poll, normally the Wave 15 Token should be Monarch. But I cannot not take into consideration the many comments mentioning 4 to 12 Monarch tokens may seem like a lot given how it's used in-game.
So, as a big exception, I decided to make the Monarch token a Bonus token for all Tiers!
Which means all of you are going to get the Construct token, quantity according to your Tier as usual + 1 Bonus Monarch Token. As all Tiers vote for polls, it's only fair everyone is joining the party this time.
But please take this into account : it means 2 illustrations instead of 1 for me to create, and my work schedule is always tight. So you will see Construct as usual, a few days before billing date, while Monarch may be revealed AFTER billing date in case I'm not able to finish it soon enough.
This detail put aside, I hope this makes you happy! Circumstances are a little peculiar with these Tokens, and I don't want it to cause frustrations.

j'ai une petite annonce à vous faire. Au vu des résultats du sondage, le Token de la Vague 15 devrait normalement être le Monarch. Mais je ne peux pas ne pas prendre en considération les nombreux commentaires mentionnant que 4 à 12 jetons Monarch peuvent sembler beaucoup, étant donné la façon dont ils sont utilisés en jeu.
J'ai donc décidé, et ce sera bien sûr une occurence très exceptionnelle, de faire du jeton Monarch un jeton Bonus pour tous les Paliers !
Ce qui signifie que vous allez tous recevoir le jeton Construct, dans la quantité usuelle de votre Palier + 1 jeton Monarch Bonus.
Comme tous les Paliers votent pour les sondages, il est normal que tout le monde participe à la fête cette fois-ci.
Mais prenez ceci en compte : cela signifie que je dois créer 2 illustrations au lieu d'une, et mon emploi du temps professionnel est toujours serré. Vous découvrirez donc le visuel de Construct comme d'habitude, quelques jours avant la date de facturation, tandis que Monarch pourrait être révélé APRES la date de facturation au cas où je ne serais pas en mesure de le terminer assez tôt.
Ce détail mis à part, j'espère que cela vous fera plaisir ! Les circonstances sont un peu particulières avec ces Tokens, et je ne veux pas que cela crée de frustrations.

Hello Mayka, first of all, thank you very much for taking the time to share and explain your thoughts. It's very useful for me. I honestly think you are 100% right, and all of your arguments are completely valid. This poll was a real dilemma. It probably wouldn't have been one if I was not the type of person who's always a bit nervous about the idea of disappointing people. It may sound surprising for such an "old" Magic artist, but I'm really not a pro of the game. For example, I often need help from Magic playing friends to choose which tokens i'm going to create, and what their statistics should be and all (whenever I'm not asking the community to suggest a token). As a consequence, I tend to rely a lot upon what you Patrons are saying. In this case, quite a few people were saying 4-8 or 12 Monarch were far too much, while both tokens were not that far from each other, votes-wise. Each month, my main worry is to produce something that will allow me to bring together as many existing or new Patrons together for the wave as possible. This Patreon is an important part of my incomes, I'm trying to learn how to make it last. And trying, I'm probably making debatable choices, I'm completely open to this criticism. This Patreon is only 1 year old, and the first year has been bumpy , especially with the printer adventures and all. I'm still not feeling very "comfortable", and I'm always a little afraid all Patrons may leave all of a sudden for 1 thing that would not make them happy. So, I confess, I'm constantly brainstorming to find ways to make Patrons as happy and possible, depending on the situation. And the Construct VS Monarch thing was a very good example. This is the best reply/explanation I can give, though i'm aware it won't be very satisfying for everyone - and I really, really understand that °.° Again, thank you for your message. It will give me some good food for thoughts for the future. <3 <3

I still respect your choice and your work don't worry, but I have also to share that it's a little frustrating. It is a little frustrating that in this situation with the Monarch to become a 'special token' we won't enjoy it neither in foil edition nor true Tier 3 token with the special premium gold foiling, which push me to vote for this token for this purpose for example. We lost this way the opportunity to get a monarch token with the luxe/Premium that should come with the crown of a Monarch ^^.. Because if you chose now to not print 12 of those, you will probably never take this decision in the future, which means no monarch foil, no premium, never for this token that the community voted and asked for. Is it possible to still please get a special edition for the Tier 3 to avoid to see Monarch token never printed in premium edition ? It won the votes, so 'losing' the premium token we voted for is weird also in that regard (specially when we think that, then, it will never be printed in the premium 'format' in the future as it was the case for all other tokens so far). Also, we used many monarch token in many decks, having multiple is useful. People who voted for Monarch knew that they were voting for probably 4-12 tokens depending on the tier chosen, and the votes won with this known, not the construct. So, there is probably more peoples that wanted 4-12 tokens than people that wanted only one, considering the votes... Which was in this situation more listen than us that voted for multiple copies of the Monarch, which is frustrating even if I know it was a decision done on kindness to answer to people complaining about the quantity. Maybe we (people that wanted 4-12 tokens) were not complaining because we thought we won the votes = we didn't have to defend for a battle that was numerically won. That's why I'm letting the comment here that I didn't thought usefully in the votes news, thinking monarch was chosen by community. If I had known that could happen and Monarch be retrograded to only 1 copy, I would have answer to the others saying my opinion too, and that the premium token format was really important specially for the Monarch token :(. I (and maybe others, as people know by voting that they were voting for 12) would have prefer the Monarch token chosen by the community to be post-poned to next month to get a full reward of the 3 differents édition that to be retrograded to 1 copy bonus instead of 12. Maybe a vote to ask the opinion of everyone could be an alternative, because we couldn't answer to the decision we didn't know that could happen no matter what was the result of the first vote ? Maybe it is too late with end of January? I have no idea, but all voices should be equal and taken into consideration when there is a situation like this happening, no? Another half/mid decision to get everyone happy and not lose the tier-dependant card edition system, could be depending on the tier, you get bonus 1 normal (t1) / 1 normal 1 foil (t2) / 1 normal 1 foil 1 special gilded gold foil (t3). We won't have the sentiment that Monarch finally 'lost' artificially the votes, and all édition would still be available, as it was originally supposed to considering what asked the community. Everyone would be happy and the frustration gone for the most part, even if it is not 12 exemplaries, at least we got the special editions too. That would be sad also for your effort and time put in to create an alternative illustration this month, for finally printing only 1 copy normal edition. This time of your work that you will spend on this monarch token is worth a full edition on my opinion, as your art deserves premium version, and there is no reason you speed up and reduce your personal time. If it is too much work and time-consuming, do not hesitate to post-poned for later months, all of us can wait for it, there is no problems about it and health/ perso-pro life equilibrium is more important :).
