This is a trixel+ early access post that will go public later!
Welcome to the third recap of the year! In this post, we'll take a stroll through some of our most noteworthy happenings from the past 3 months at Trixel Creative.

In [month] of 2022, we opened a new position for a 3D Render Artist and UI Programmer. These positions were added alongside our then-open positions for 3D Artists, 2D Concept Artists, and Programmers!
On a related note, we've onboarded several new Restitched Developers and Trixel Creative Moderators! From July-September we welcomed the following creatives:
We also welcomed two new Discord Moderators:

Potentially the main event of the quarter... the long-awaited reveal for Restitched finally landed on our screens in June! After months of hard work, we premiered the first-ever gameplay footage on YouTube. As of today, the trailer has over 60k views!
You can check out the trailer right here on YouTube, and the Dev Diary of its creation process here!

Shortly after the Restitched Reveal Trailer dropped, we posted a more in-depth look at Stuffy's newly-revealed gameplay abilities. In this short clip, we focused on Climbing, Pushing, Swinging, and Crawling!
You can see the full video post here on YouTube.

In August, we re-introduced the Restitched: Field Guide! These are sporadic, snack-sized infographics to help you familiarize yourself with the game's terminology and features.
We aim to release a new Developer Diary or Trixel Diary each month of the year, and this quarter was no exception! In July-September we published the following features:

Hot off the heels of our Restitched Reveal Trailer, we took to a Dev Diary to reveal how we pulled it all together! Then, in August we further explored the creation and development of Stuffy's largest gameplay tool, the 'Needle 'n Thread'. Finally, in September we pulled back the curtain to detail how our Graphic Designer works on the game's icons.
You can read these Developer Diaries below:
We also made a substantial update to June's Restitched: Dev Diary | Brand Design!

After a short break following our hard work on the Restitched Reveal Trailer, we quickly swung back into things as we picked up development with increasingly-productive months. You can check out our progress by taking a look at trixel+ or the News section of our website!
You can read this quarter's Restitched: Recapped! posts here:
We also released three more Stamp Previews this quarter! These offer tiny little glimpses into the world of Restitched, and we post them at the beginning of each month - a month early on trixel+!

These designs highlight the diversity within the game's Stamps library, allowing creators a peek into what their future creative endeavors may be!
Stamp Previews were announced for retirement in late September. Going forward this monthly feature will be replaced with 'Asset Previews', which showcase more asset types from the game!
In August we bid farewell to one of Trixel Creative's three Directors. We also released a statement on the matter, which can be read below:

After a large AAA video game title leaked, many comments from gamers confused development practices, stating that graphics are often the first things finished in a video game. Many developers took to social media to offer a bit of transparency into video game development and disprove this claim.

Restitched was no different! We hopped onto the trend, showing an early development photo from our Celtic harbour theme compared to the first proper reveal of the same location.

We also released three new pages of our comic, The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy! These additions further develop the relationship between Cpt. Stuffy and Puddles.
Our Discord server is the heart and soul of our platform. We're most active there, and can directly interact with our community! As such, we've made a few changes in hopes to improve your experience on the server. Some of those changes include:
Thanks to our new 3D Render Artist (Astro), we've updated Restitched's Twitter icon and social thumbnails with a brand-new Stuffy render! Look at our chipper little cutie!

That's a wrap on Q3 2022! Granted, we did get up to a bit more exciting things behind the scenes. Maybe some of those will surface in Q4! See you again next time!
