New videos coming close to completion + more!

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update. I have two new videos which are both almost ready to go.

The first is a short video about a short piece of anime parody music I wrote as part of a collaboration with another well known YouTuber. Once his video goes out (very shortly) I'll follow up with mine. It's a pretty silly video... full of choice nonsense.

On the other hand, I've also been working on a slow-burner for the last 6 months, which is just about ready to see the light of day: a video focusing on the Piano Trio genre and its history. It features a section where I talk about how hard it is to write for, along with a breakdown of how I wrote my own Piano Trio last year.

I'm also about to begin a new video about a project myself and a professional engraver are collaborating on: the creation of a new (free) notation font that will work with both Dorico and MuseScore (the screenshot above is how it looks in MuseScore right now). I'll share a beta version of it with you to try out in a week or two.

I'm also planning a new notation app review, although it's a bit of a curve ball from what I've done before: I'm going to cover the ill-fated engraving app, SCORE - an app with a dramatic history that unfortunately can no longer be purchased; resigned to the status of permanent abandonware. This will not be a long video. Probably 10 minutes or less.

Lastly, I'm almost finished my latest piece of music for the next 5 composers video on David Bruce's channel. This time, we're all writing for metal band. I've thrown the kitchen sink at this one... believe me!

Anyway.... a lot of stuff coming out very very soon!
