2020-05-21 01:47:45 +0000 UTCOK, let me get this straight: you were 12, and you hadn't learned to set the timer on the VCR. I can understand that for your dear dad, but you?? Come on, by 12 years old these days kids are supposed to be setting up computer systems. Admittedly when I was 12 computers were large things that used tape, cards, and disk drives the size of small washing machines, but that never stopped me from trying to log into them. Oh, if only I knew about phone phreaking when I was 12. But as for violence, when I was little (7? 8?) the old extremely violent RKO Pictures classics were shown on TV, in the afternoon. Yeah, my aunt thought "Hunchback of Notre Dame" was so violent she was shocked that I watched it when I was little. I thought it was just normal. (Rock it, hunchback, rock it!)
