Bless you Jim, you stayed up so late for this interview. It's great to raise more awareness. Do people still do the holiday apartment scams? My sister fell for one many years ago and I managed to help her get her money back, but I wonder if people still do this? Basically she had booked an apartment with friends well in advance and paid in full through PayPal. Unfortunately when they got to the apartment, there were other people staying there and the owner knew nothing about their booking! Scammers really are unscrupulous.

You mention the mule and the glitter bomb but you skip over the most amazing part.. You all kept $30,000 of cash in the hands of the victims instead of being delivered to scammers. You have changed so many peopleβs lives.

PLEASE call me first. Sigh. But it's hard for him and I understand. He was a powerful man in his day of work so this is just so awful. And he was the best boss year after year. A fair, integral wonderful man. He is a friend to all and knows no stranger. He plays Santa to give you an idea. And to have this done to him over and over is so sad. They don't stop. They come up with more and more scams and like you said, they have his info so they look on Facebook and pulled this latest scam off with ease. I am so appreciative of Jim. I can't tell you!! What a viable service he is doing for those of us trying to teach that trusting generation who can't imagine that anyone would do such things.

2023-04-03 17:23:23 +0000 UTCThat is so heartbreaking about your father. I'm so sorry. These people are absolute scum to do that to anyone, let alone a vulnerable old man who recently lost his wife. I guess the problem is that once they have scammed you one time, and probably obtained a lot of personal information about you in the process, they will mark you as an easy target and keep coming back for more.

Maritaβs comments to you just shows how cruel these people are, taking advantage of her father and I do feel for her. If only the authorities and the police would do more. I did see that Anydesk is starting to take action following Pierogiβs intervention. Warmest wishes from Suffolk and thanks a million for everything you do.

2023-04-01 19:51:41 +0000 UTCI LOVED the interview. And I will watch EVERY Rose video and EVERY SINGLE JIM video. He has helped me so much with my 92-year-old father. He has been scammed over and over. I finally sat down and we watched Jim's videos. That helped him NOW to watch out for those scams. HOWEVER, The last scam was NOT one that I was able to show him. He lost $5,000.00 and they came to his HOUSE to pick up the cash. So frightening. The scam was they called saying his name, pretending to be his grandson (my nephew) that he was in jail and he needed to be bailed out. The scammer knew EVERYTHING. I can't stand these scammers hurting my father who JUST lost his wife of 69 years and he wept (first time I saw that other than my Mom's passing) and said to me .. I can't live in this world anymore. I don't understand the dishonesty. THANKS JIM AND ROSIE!!

I would follow you to the moon. As I said on Twitter my neighbor fell for the text scam and lost $1,000 so this interview was a great awareness wake up call.
