*** Early access for Patrons ***

I've been watching a few different scamming groups running the 'Amazon' refund scam and I've been disrupting their scams.

You'll see how they run the scam and how best to defeat it. You'll also hear both the scammer and the victims - something I've not always been able to show in the videos.

This version will be identical to the public version - no details of the scammers are revealed, but I will be uploading more content showing more of these scams - just for Patrons.

I hope that the authorities on Kolkata can act on the information I've passed to them.

Thank you again for all the support you show be though Patreon - this really wouldn't be possible if it were not for your support!

Jim Browning is my only Patreon too haha

Man these guys are scum ! Thank u my man ! You're my only patreon

You are amazing...my wife and among other family members who are not tech savvy, lost alot of money to these scams....we were all forced to change bank accounts and to this day, we still have not seen our money back...even during this pandemic when alot of people are laid off. My cousin fell for this

Same here, very first patreon

As did I! I can’t name anyone more deserving.

Amazing. Real life Superman. I can’t believe you sat there for a week and waited on customer service at banks. I hope you live a very very happy life outside of doing this.

I just opened a Patreon acct just because I wanted to support the work Jim does. He really is a hero.

Ryan Fiorini

You are my hero

The 7 eleven guy reminded me of my uncle who has gotten caught up in similar scams. I really appreciate you helping these people. It makes me want to find ways to fight against scammers myself. Or maybe warn people about them.

You are amazing Jim. I feel so lucky to support you

OMG! These break my heart! Keep doing the good work!

Kimi Sayeed

Gosh! You’re good, dude. Keep up the great work.

Wow Jim what more can I say you are beyond awesome!

Stephanie Humphries

Well done Jim. It is amazing that people actually fall for this scam. Even harder to believe is that even though the guy at 7 eleven told him its a scam he still was disregarding that . If someone has emptied your bank account (which they can't like that) then why give more money ? I'm also sure that the Canadian wouldn't be carrying $2000 cash so if the account was empty the payment would have failed. I once spoke to an almost victim (got conferenced with her) and she was still stressed big time. I explained it was a scam.

Hi Jim, btw I ❤ your work. But I have some company, lol, GLOBAL IT SOLUTIONS, allegedly working with Best Buy calling to CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. Lol. Here is their number US, 802-528-7712. They are tired of playing with me. 😂... Thanks

Love your work man, keep it up.

how these heartless people take advantage of the elderly I wish India was more proactive in preventing the scam centers from even opening

PAT

thank you Mr. Browning for doing what you do some of these videos brought me to tears.

You are a hero. Just joined Patreon. Keep up the good work.

You sir are a true hero and I hope you continue to do this and protect those who aren't the wiser.

LucchiniSW

At 02:19 sounds like Borat !!!!!! Love the videos I enjoy watching these low lives getting foiled and messed around . Great work as always Jim

Phil Maddox

Thank you for all of what you're doing and for the videos, it's heart wrenching them. It's worth every penny knowing you've saved someone from being scammed by these evil people. I too like to play along with the callers just to waste their time. I've just bought an old Dell computer and a separate modem, setup with a fake name just to have a little more fun ad waste more of their time :)

Paul Ferguson

As always , a very great video!!! Thanks,. I have been playing with a couple of Amazon scammers.

This video filled me with both anger and pure joy at the same time. Sheer anger that people out there would dream of doing this to vulnerable people in our society, but also pure joy that there are such guardian angels in the world such as yourself doing your best to protect the people who need it! First time Patreon subscriber here, may you continue your good work for many many years to come 😊

Hi Jim, I had a weird thing happen on my bank recently. I have a new computer and NO-ONE has ever connected to it remotely, secondly I do have passwords saved., such as the no 1 tells me it is a particular password, the number 2 means it is another one etc etc and only I know what they mean. I logged onto my bank recently and I was blocked, I rand the bank and they told me that I had to re-register for online banking, when I asked why they said nothing that made sense. When I checked my balances they were all right so I let it go. The following day the Police called and informed me that someone had hacked into my savings account and tried to transfer all the money out to a company name, and when I checked back I saw that the bank had sent me a code at 2am to comfirm it was me and I had 5 minutes to type it in. I was fast asleep and never noticed it, so the banl cancelled it and blocked my account. The police were there because I neeeded to sign a complaint so the Bank could have a crime number. I assume they came either because the Bank know I am disabled and can't leave home, or I was not the only one. Either way it was quite scary, especially since just the day before I had paid my daughters College and Accomdation fees (early for once lol) otherwise without 2 factor autentication I would have been screwed. I have the false company name used if you want it, in case you come across it again.

I was holding my breath untill you said "I was able to call the bank and Bessi".. Once more you stopped the scam, and for a hole week. Wow. Thank you so much for being you Jim Browning, keep working for the good. They have no heart those scammers.

L. Sar

Incredible work! Thank you for the videos.

It must be so frustrating to put a lot of time and effort into stopping these guys in their tracks when the authorities, those with real power, don’t act on your hard work. It’s genuinely an honour to watch you work, and if it costs me a few £ a month just to see you continue to bring these animals down, then it’s worth every penny

Gio Marron

Keep up the amazing work! Always excited when I see a new video from you popup in my inbox. Glad to see you were able to actually save some of these victims.

Insider Chad

This why I gladly pay out the $10 a month to support you. You do amazing work . When I tell people about you I describe you as the James Bond of scam batting. I got really mad when that older lady just cried out in desperation about her alleged mistake . That guy makes me absolutely sick. So glad you stopped him. Do have a question. Can these banks not put code in the website to prevent editing of the screen so the scammers can’t do that trick?

Hi Jim, I was very upset that the lady was going to lose $20,000 ... and then you stopped it ! Phew ! You're amazing. What you do is amazing. I applaud you sir!

$$ - that's why. There is no caring in corporate processes.

Syd

There are not many as righteous as Jim. Many do 'scambaiting' just to make money from YouTube videos. Jim is actually intent on protecting people.

Syd

They do not think of their victims as people. They simply believe it is their right to steal the money.

Syd

I took a call like this a couple of weeks ago. When I said this is like the start of a Jim Browning video, they hung up! Rude, hey?

My guess is that they will try to ask his friends for money pretty soon. Also make them aware about Facebook messenger - this is another route to ask for money. Sorry to hear about that. Perhaps it's best to post about the alternative account so that others can be on the lookout for suspicious postings from your 'grandfather'.

Jim Browning

It really is unbelievable. 2SA has to be a MUST for online banks. Bank of America... what are you playing at?

Jim Browning

Good video! Keep fighting the good fight :)

True Hero!

Thanks Jim! I'm pumped for a new video. This week someone hacked into my grandfather's facebook and did the typical post for some scam. But the weirdest thing happened, they started messaging his friends on messenger acting as him. I didn't know this particular type of scam would do that. They even made a duplicate account after he changed his password. I'm still new to how far these scammers go but damn I appreciate people like you giving us some vigilante justice! ❤️

Jim, don't stop! Keep going, get them all. We will keep supporting you. You are a true hero.

The terrible English mistakes in the notice are a tip off.

Melodie Cook

This ^^^^^^^

"Honey?" Bad enough he's trying to con this poor lady, but he sounds so condescending doing so. Hope his and many more operations like this get hit for six. Keep up the great work, Jim.

I hope you can run the circuit of the auto warranty game.

Louis Carter

You are a super hero!

Everytime I hear the victims, my heart breaks for them. Because they are so sweet and trusting, the Scammers are able to prey on them like the soulless parasites that they are. I don't understand why Amazon or Microsoft don't take an active role in stopping the thieves. I know there's nothing in it for them $$ but these guys are 'using' their name to gain trust.

Paula Hernandez

Brilliant Jim! So grateful for people like you.

Nice one Jim, take them down one at a time

Amazing work, Jim, I'm glad there are people like you, helping people who are vulnerable to these b*stards.

I can’t believe that scammer proceeded along with the scam even when the victim was like the nicest elderly lady in the world.

grnface 007

I have never been more pleased to support someone on Patreon. You, sir, are awesome.

Ivko Cvejic

Rock on, you legend!

Jonathan Becker

More brilliant work!

I FELT for Bessie :'(

Jay Ronnert

Hearing Bessie apologize to you for making the "mistake" broke my heart. Watching you shut down their connections all at once warmed it back up.

James

You're doing soo much good for the Elderly and all Humans in general, anyone who lives in the UK needs to contact their representative and tell them that Jim needs to be recognized for the good work he's doing to protect the Elderly and computer illiterate individuals from these soulless scammers.

Bless you Jim

Tripodski

Another great job Jim. Well done

roy rilo

This is why I support what you do.

Jason Hammar

Listening to the victims is heartbreaking. Very happy to support you here knowing the good you're doing to save these people. I mean, just that one person might've been 18K. That's a crazy amount of money. There must be more that banks can do to prevent this type of scams. There should be a class action lawsuit against these banks for allowing a zelle transfer without a phone call to someone from the bank. That should be automatic account protection for all account holders over the age of 65 unless they can prove they understand how scams work. Maybe there can be some kind of video they watch and after they watch the video they are eligible to remove the zelle confirmation call. Because if they had to call the bank and speak with someone, the minute they mentioned that they are getting a refund, the bank will stop it. Seems so darn easy to prevent this.

scott kochman

Thank you John. I always have in the back on my head, that this is someone's grandmother/father. I couldn't do anything else other than warn them.

Jim Browning

Thanks Jay. What I publish is a very small view of the actual number of calls I make to people who are about to get scammed.

Jim Browning

Oh, they will pretend to be BT, TalkTalk, Virgin Media or whichever data they can get their hands on.

Jim Browning

Thanks - now corrected :)

Jim Browning

Utter scum. Thank you, Jim.

Syd

Great Job Jim on getting these older people and all safe. Great job.

Honestly, I believe you are doing GOD'S WORK Jim. Bless.

Jay Ronnert

Oh man! The first scammer was from another video wasn't he? He was featured in the "life of a scammer" video where he was making numerous calls while claiming to be from "Wirgin Media" I'm sure of it. It's to mistake that voice and accent.

rtamayo88

Awesome job, Jim! Good work stopping that scammer robbing poor Bessie.

deejaybee

Dear Mr Browning It has come to my attention that in your playlist of named and shamed scammers there exists two videos which do not belong. One is from the Daily Dose of Internet channel, and the other is a digitization of a film from the year 1888 of the common era.

Ellenor Bjornsdottir

Thanks Gerard

Jim Browning

Nice work.
