Showing a scammer his REAL details [Patron version]

[Patrons only - contains un-blurred person information]

I persuaded a scammer to reveal the tactics he uses in his scams by showing him his own photograph when he connected to my computer.

His photos also had a geo-location tag and they were taken from his own apartment in Ghaziabad (east of Delhi). This was enough to convince him to make a video with him breaking down the various aspects of his own scam.

I hope this proves interesting.

Showing a scammer his REAL details [Patron version]

Comments

yeah - what he said...

Valerie C

You have no idea how good this introduction made me feel. Fake name Alex (shakily): "I am shivering, sir... seriously" You (calmly): "I know" If only all of them were this scared of you...

VegaLupina

I don't know why but I feel so good after any videos you do!

MS followed by 4 numbers = actually how Morgan Stanley does their employee IDs. Morgan Stanley also has their tech support remote in. Just.... Heads up.

Candace Tarkeshian

I am just amazed by your ability to use the tech available nowadays. I just wish I had the savvy to actually help bring these hackers down, or at least interrupt them and cause major hassle. Is there any way in which you could get some of us old f*ckers who have nothing to do all day disrupt the people instigating these scams- even temporarily so that less people get shafted?

Mike Hughes

So hot.

Although I don't know specific details- working internationally without being part of the government tends to be unenforceable. The local authorities would have to respect Indian law, which clearly doesn't happen from the pretense. To report the hacking, they have to give a full report of what happened to the authorities. This means everything. To do that as a scamming company would be a Darwin Award ala https://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime--law/new-florida-drug-dealer-calls-cops-asking-for-help-find-stolen-cocaine/LVo19rEltivcgdwNhoAQxH/

Hi Jim, Are you on discord still??? I thought I was connected to you on Discord. I just got a new computer and finally got to log into it for the 1st time in ages and you are bot on my list there. Could you sent me a Discord invite please

Jim, thanks for what you do. Is there any legal issue with hacking into their phones and offices?

Brian H

The voice changer made Jim sound like a scared little girl. I thought it was quite disarming and obviously the scammer fell for it. The best thing about this was Jim saying that he now has a connection to someone in the Indian police. Way to go Jim!

rtamayo88

Amazing as always, Jim! 😁

Music is a Rainbow

Jim, you gotta work with Kitboga to get a better voice changer.

Avenseg

Racism has no place here. Don't pigeonhole everyone with the sins of an entire race, or we'll be listing out a whole mess of things for every single race.

Avenseg

This is the ONE patron sponsorship in my history that NEVER fails, in ANY of his posts. Excellent job brother.

PapiKink

Wow... Why does he scam and not even at least put socks on?

grnface 007

These warm my heart. Thank you, again, for what you do!

Jessicah Jones

I cant believe the lack of moral truth or conscience in these poo animals, they have no souls, they are filthy non people pagan devils, there's no humanity in them, SO EVIL! it even Lied when the jig was up and knew it was caught in the act, absolutley revolting dog's that they are.

I look forward to chatting with Jim lol I am fangiriling way too hard rn lmao

I'm so jealous of your skills!

Thank you JIm for making this Patreon version of the video for us. I'd sure be interested to hear you continue to follow up with him and try something else like seeing how he reacts if you try to encourage him to find more worthy work. It seems like he could be vulnerable to being steered into a different path. Changing one scammer may not seem significant but it could snowball into more.

Doug Betts

Ha ha, I enjoyed hearing Jim's girlie-voice in this one.

Laurie Soper

When all our generations will be old and vulnerable to future forms of scams I hope there will always be a Jim to expose how they work and how to avoid them! Great work, sir! My best Patreon investment!

Drey

More excellent stuff, Jim (or Sylvia!). Please keep doing it. Glad to support you through Patreon.

Doug Edworthy

This is some chris hansen type of spook lol

Great work Jim, you’re the reason I’ve set up a Patreon. Love what you do 👍

I'll repeat a suggestion I made before: set up a small office there, and advertise hiring scammers, and have them fill out detailed applications with personal info - then publish them.

Craig Browning

I often see them be very insulting toward their victims - they're idiots who deserve it - as a sort of way to feel ok about doing it.

Craig Browning

The human capacity to focus on the amount of money he can get, while not thinking about the harm he's causing, is sad.

Craig Browning

These are great, but there are such larger questions. Are there ways to get the culture changed for fewer people to be willing to be involved in scams? Ways to make policing effective?

Craig Browning

I think getting busted by you and inquired like that must be like getting caught by a policeman while you draw a graffiti that says fuck da police haha love this shit Jim!

Angelo Corona Mazzei

Well done Jim. I wish I knew how to do what you do. Instead I just mess with the SSA scammers. Had one on the phone for over 90 minutes today. (about 40 minutes past his finish time). He had such high hopes for that $1000 dollars. / 1000 rupees

Thank you for what you do Jim. 😊

veeraya kaewwilai

when Kitboga (who I love) OR ANY other sscambaiter gets their cover blown, the scammers just get annoyed, but when they know you are on to them, I think they lose control of their bodily functions

Is this the start of Kitboga-style alter egos? I love how Sylvia sounds just as unimpressed and done with the scammers shit as regular Jim. Scammers, on the other hand, will need to study the Belfast accent so they can recognise trouble even if he's using a voice changer. I can almost imagine that becoming a routine part of their training...

Rebecca

Great work as always.

Great Job Jim, really proud to be a patron of yours. Great to hear you are getting connections inside of Delhi police and that the mention of the scammer's name on your channel can be enough to have them explain their whole scam to you. Gives me hope!

D

When Jim becomes too in/famous that he must disguise his voice. Awesome Job as always!

Excellent, Jim - I do hope you can get at some of the bosses in these scams. The same sort of fear in their voices would be very rewarding and arrest even more so!

Andrew Strathdee

Using software to spoof your location and disguise your phone number so that it appears to be from a different country is not illegal. There is not much that a phone company can do to block these calls when it's so easy to spoof the number and make it appear to originate internally. There should be a Government lead scheme to make people aware of these types of scams with daily infomercials that explain how to spot them and what to do if you get a call or browser pop up. It's fine putting a single documentary on the BBC to show the risks and how one man was able to defeat a call center but some people might think that was the end of it and a lot of people are still being scammed so it didn't have a big effect.

It must have been a real jarring situation for you the first time a scammer recognized your voice!

Tyler Kurth

Don’t think he does it for fun only. He doesn’t like how they rip off people and decided to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. He’s the A-Team, The Knight Rider, the Equalizer...

Brilliant Jim! I loved hearing the changes to the register of his voice when he knew the game was up. Aaaaaaaaww what a pity I thought at the start.

I would be scared as fuck if I would be that guy. But they don’t deserve it better. Sure some may be poor over there but ripping older people or people in general can’t be the way to be. And their bosses get rich. I’m glad I’m into tech stuff. And here in Europe/Switzerland I haven’t experienced that much. I guess they focus on English speaking countries. Would be way too much work to use a not too common language for that. It’s very suspicious here to get called by someone speaking English and stating they are from Microsoft with Indian accent. Just keep exposing and hunting them. I kind of would love to join that fight. But need to learn more about how to establish that reverse connection / hacking into their system. Thanks for your service Jim. Well appreciated.

Jim said that at the end. He won't publish it if scammer helps him

Great work as ever Jim. I really appreciate the work you're doing to educate and assist the other scambaiters in the community too. You are a real asset we are all proud of.

I may be a bit slow, Jim, but I am trying to figure out why he would admit to all he is doing. Thanks.

Nice one Jim also showing a nice little OSint trick there as well ;)

ivor.biggun ......... oh dear ;-) He just sounded so humiliated by the whole thing. Good job Jim

I think Jim knows about tech scams more than any scammer. And in this video he just having fun torturing the guy :)

Patreon sucks

September 12 that's my birthday lol !! I feel no sympathy for these scammers as much as they try to get pity.

As always you are great nailing these scammers lying

I see you finally took my advice. Good.

GamerForLifeDrakunia

Your patience is impressive and I'm glad that this fella is in the hot seat!

Susansterlingg

RIGHT! Justice crush on 'Jim'!!!

Susansterlingg

Great stuff as always

Shevchenko

Well, it was for sure an intense experience for that guy lol being at the interrogatory with Jim 😂

Amazing work. I'm sure his wife know exactly what he's doing. They probably think its funny. I just spoke to a friend of my mother yesterday. She was contacted by these guys for a SS scam. They told her her SS number was going to be canceled. Then they kept loading on the crap until they said that her identify was being used in Texas to purchase cocaine. She was crying and the guy kept saying don't worry, we can solve this for you. He was yelling at her at one point and she started screaming at him and luckily hung up. But the call was over 30 minutes and it left her emotionally shattered for a long time. These scammers are scum and deserve a Patriot missile. I suspect that a quick bribe to the police and these guys are back on the street. In this day and age, isn't there a way the big companies, spectrum Verizon, T-Mobile, etc, can identify calls originating from outside the country and put "potential scam" across the screen of your phone? Does anyone know what seems to be the problem with this? This seems like an easy problem to fix. Jim, through your work I've been able to educate people so thank you. Perhaps we can contact US Indian business leaders who might be able to exert some pressure back home to stop this. There are plenty of wonderful Indian people here who must be so embarrassed by this going on. And perhaps some of them are connected to government leaders or law enforcement.

scott kochman

It still amazes me how they can lie so easily. It’s ridiculous. They read the script and play along with you. The lack of moral compassion is really frightening. Good job, man. Keep exposing these fools.

Was wondering how you got him to talk. Exposing his personal information was the trick. He was a 'beaten' man. Yet, NOTHING compares to the heartache he causes.

Paula Hernandez

Can we see the actual moment he realized you had caught him? We are brought into this interaction late. I love to hear them called out

Wow, more great investigative work, Jim! Absolutely love your content. In so many of Kitboga's calls, the scammers say things like "oh go ahead call the police, they can't touch me" and every time they say that I just imagine their disbelief when you come along and dismantle their whole operation. Keep up the great work!

LizzyC

Fantastic Jim! This was great

“Jim” - Are you single? Asking for a friend... ;)
