The scammers who milk their victims (Patreon version)

Patron version, so no blurring of the scammer... please don't link to this unlisted video... thanks! The public version will have to be more censored.

Again, thank you to all my Patrons - you are allowing me the time to create these videos, so you are directly helping the victims of these scams. You are all stars!

You are going to see a scamming group called QTech BPO of Kanpur in India. They go by the fake company name of "Home IT Master" and they exclusively target UK victims.

Not only to they take payments, every few months, they will pester their victims into paying them again and again.

You'll see examples of who they are, how they run their scam and how I managed to try to close them down since the police seem to do nothing about them.

Again, thanks for supporting me. You are exposing these groups!

He doesn't know that he's picking his nose in front of the whole world.

Sorry Habib but your camera is staying on ...get over it.

Thankyou for these Un-Blurred versions :)

Would dearly love to help.

Jim I only have one minor issue with your site. I get eye fatigued when reading text with a white background. It's almost like looking into a florescent light bulb. I wish I could select a dark theme. I already have screen brightness turned down significantly, but now it's difficult in a different way. I have the family tech fix-it member coming over in a while. We'll get the issue ironed out. Maybe I'll ask Patreon to consider adding an option for darker backgrounds for us eye strain sensitives. Keep up the important work you are doing, and I'll keep up my support for it, I promise.

Its so infuriating that Financial Institutions always ignore your information , I also have been attempting to inform MoneyGram about information scammers are using to scam people into believing they have a transfer waiting , Moneygram do not even bother replying to my emails ,and there is NO chat type support or a phone number to call .

Honestly, I've heard them yelling at their victims. They think of them all as fat, rich, spoiled westerners. They look at them like we might look at a millionaire throwing a fit at the waiter because his table wasn't close enough to the terrace.

Bastards......HOw do they keep a straight face and do not feel their conscience shouting at them while doing these scams..

Actually gmail is one of the best products out there security-wise if you ignore the profiling of your content. I'm happy with fastmail because it offers good security (app passwords) and is very reliable.

Jim Browning

I notice you are using Fast Mail, as you are clearly up on the subject of online security I'm wondering if I should be looking at an alternative to Gmail. Any advice or guidance you might have would be appreciated.

I think they are trying to help, but it's really the Indian police who should be doing their job. Perhaps in combination with Microsoft.

Jim Browning

Thank you jim, i clapped when you said they turned off their computer, loved to hear about the syskey bit but why cant microsoft do more , with there money and power why dont they???

Excellent work, Jim! Entertaining, informative and a public good. More power to you elbow sir!

Doug Edworthy

Hey I appreciate what you are doing, I've been thinking to honey pot their Wifi some day, would be easy since you have access to some of their PC, redirecting calls would be a breeze...

Thanks!

Christine Daley

That was NeeP... here's his channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Glumanda94. Check out his very interesting video about actually visiting a scam call centre: https://youtu.be/kT6gK1j6o4s

Jim Browning

Hi Jim, who was that other scambaiter you mentioned in your video?

Christine Daley

The light is usually hard wired to the data stream these days, so it's unlikely that it will go unnoticed on most laptops. Still, this guy liked to watch himself, so didn't panic too much when the light came on. :)

Jim Browning

Thank you Kristen. Spreading the word is always good... I'm aware that the people who most need to be aware of these scams are probably not YouTube users, so I appreciate what you're doing. Jim

Jim Browning

Great video, Jim. I learn something new every time you post something. Keep up the good fight. I’m telling friends about your work and urging them to watch your videos and donate to your good works.

Thanks Jitesh. I know you represent the true face of India. Thanks for supporting me.

Jim Browning

You are doing God's work. I'm an Indian and I'm ashamed of these scammers. I hope the whole country is not painted in light of these few. I strongly opposes what these scammers are doing and am a paid patreon of yours.

Thank you holdank!

Jim Browning

Nice work... These guys have no ethics / morals and don't see it as stealing. LOL @ him trying to work out why the webcam light came on. Pity there is no way to update the webcam firmware so the light no longer works.

Another good video Jim well done

Fartrulz

I'm predicting that their website won't be live tomorrow.... let's see.

Jim Browning

Thanks Trevor. I do the odd fun one too though :)

Jim Browning

Some day, India will use these kinds of videos to at least kick off an investigation. I hope.

Jim Browning

It wasn't really that hard.... BCC 50 people at a time. The difficulty is that most email providers think you're a spammer and tar-pit my IP. It was easier to divide the load :)

Jim Browning

Oh, that is so great that you emailed over 600 victims! Amazing work! You too, Neep if you're reading this!

Music is a Rainbow

I'm surprised that there isn't a world shortage of brown paper envelopes judging by the amount that must be flying between the scammers and the Indian Police Force.....

I’ve seen quite a few of these scambaiter videos now and Jim’s are way and above the best of all because of the professional approach and lack of childish goading in an attempt to make the scammers angry and get abusive..that’s why I support Jim on patreon.

i've watched quite a lot of the scam baiting type videos. the majority of them are entertaining just by virtue of the video maker goofing on the scammers and making them angry. however, a lot of those youtubers don't seem to be very technically skilled. i enjoy how your technical skill comes through in your videos in what you're able to accomplish, and i'm a fan of what you're doing.

holdank

Well, they haven’t changed the password yet. I am honestly surprised. Great job Jim You have really outdone yourself on this one

Thank you Kristen. It really could be a full-time job. But I'd also like to campaign to change a few laws. Like making it a criminal offence to run these sorts of call centers. Something which would make it easier for authorities to act and (hopefully) cut down on the number of callers engaged in this activity.

Jim Browning

Another job well done, Jim. You help those you don’t seem to be able to help themselves. I hope to help get you to your goal so you can do this as a full time job. We really need your talents to stop these crooks.

I am more than happy to be a patreon but I struggle to watch how low some of these people will go. It is very sad. Anyway, keep up the great fight.

Thank you so much Linda. I really mean it that it's you, my supporters, who give me the ability to actually go after these scammers. I'm not naive enough to think that they won't start up again, but at least it's disrupting them.

Jim Browning

What an incredible job! Thank you for your devotion in exposing these scammers. I'm a forever patron.

It is a bit disheartening when the police there refuse to do anything about it. I'm just glad that this video may help pause this group. I suspect they will be shutting up shop for a little while at least. I intend to keep producing exposure videos until it actually leads to some arrests in India. I'd like to campaign for a criminal offence to be created for a crime of running or participating in a scam call center in India. At the moment, it's seen as an industry there and there doesn't seem to be any stigma attached to scamming people for a living. I'd love to see this change.

Jim Browning

In theory, it could happen and including a real password in the email might even make it more convincing. Anti-virus is essential to prevent all of this.

Jim Browning

Very nice video, lots of information and it was more interesting seeing the scammer working his dirty deeds. Where do you go from here, it must be soul destroying when your hard work is ignored. What plans do you have for the future, what else can you do?

Seeing this makes some threatening emails claiming they have a video of you (desktop + webcam) fapping to some unnatural stuff more believable. :D

:-)

Jim Browning

Hehe. Well found... yes - a hidden video. I was wondering if anyone would find it.

Jim Browning

I lost it when you said, "What a professional!" lol. That was great.

James

*we weren't

Lol I found a little Easter egg, (probably unintentional lol) when you showed the email you sent to victims in that was a link to s separate YouTube video that I think we went supposed to see lol.

No pressure Jim, you both do great things in such different ways that I'm very intrigued:)

Ray Hicks

Hi Ray, We definitely have different styles and I promise it will happen. Hopefully before the end of the Summer.

Jim Browning

I wasn't able to find their bank details this time. Sometimes I can, but it really depends on how much detail they have on accessible computers. This time, I was limited to the scammers and vitcims' details.

Jim Browning

Keep on grinding them down👍👍any news on the putative kitboga hook-up? I imagine your different styles would show some synergy:)

Ray Hicks

Awesome work! With how much info they keep in plain text, I'm curious if you could make your way around their office laterally on the network to find their bank account info.

Thank you Rinor. Much appreciated.

Jim Browning

Amazing work, once more Jim.
