I got into a minor, mild Twitter spat the other month about not making a character look "Asian enough." And while I admit I am not perfect in capturing features every single time I do a painting, I was a bit taken aback by this person's notion that Asian faces have to have slitty, slanty eyes in order to read Asian. We can have big eyes, small eyes, tall noses, flat noses, round cheeks, angled jaws, shallow brows, pronounced brows, etc.
