DC Pride 2022 Anthology Announced!

I contributed a Pride variant cover for Nubia: Queen of the Amazons! Creative team is Stephanie Williams, Alitha Martinez and Mark Morales and it will be out in June.

Included are some quick sketches I submitted (I was behind schedule oof) as well as the photo reference I compiled for the figures on the cover. We kept it incredibly simple, as I had dropped the ball on the due date and time was of the essence Luckily, I had an editor who was extremely understanding and gave me more time so I could still contribute to DC's Pride series. I did a piece last year and it was such an honor, I knew I couldn't miss this opportunity too. Shout out to DC for this!

I usually try to do tighter sketches with better colors (or values, at least) for comic covers but I didn't have the time so I kept it simple. Shooting the photo reference felt very necessary as I wanted to get the pose right and the musculature at least somewhat right :). In the end I think it worked! Just took a little adjusting.
