Scammers targeting the disabled and elderly

Another one which may be difficult to watch, but I upload these in the hope that you can spread the word and warn anyone who may be vulnerable to this sort of scam what to watch out for.

This was made possible by your continued sponsorship on Patreon.

Scammers targeting the disabled and elderly

Sorry- hit send too soon. What I really want to find out about is an ad I saw recently offering to disguise an IP address. Has this been around for a while and you can get around it or is this some fresh hell the scammers are going to make use of to impede your work ?

Wow! That woman made my knees weak. She would have cleaned them out and the bank would not have refunded her because she did it herself.

Poor folks. As Rob said, there is surely a special place in hell for these people... hopefully the hottest and most painful section. Hopefully with all your hard work exposing these scoundrels and making videos to educate others, they'll have find some other line of business.

It was difficult to watch, but a relief that nothing was gained from this person. In the end they just wasted 2 hours of the scammers time, that's not to say this won't happen to another victim though. Great work again Jim, hopefully this will raise some awareness around these scams.

Thanks Rob. There are people who watch my channel who work in homes and will spread the word. There's a part of me which does not want to make this video public because I feel like I'm exploiting this person, but if it prevents even one more of these incidents...

It is an eye-opener. I just wanted to hug this poor woman.

There is surely a special place in hell for people who prey on the elderly. I’ve noticed that in almost every one of these calls, there is a point at which the mask slips, and the ugly truth behind the benevolent mask appears. In this call, it happens when the scammer starts to shout at the intended victims to stay on the line. Keep up the great work, Jim.

It's like watching a slow-motion car accident that you are helpless to stop. It's so painful to see. Scammers are disgusting things.
