Day 21 - 30 Day Challenge: My Mess

As I’ve put in some work with therapy and a coach to unstuck my stuckness in terms of life and work and all that jazz, I have embraced the ways my brain works, and the specific structures I need to put in place. For so long, my husband and my friends have been telling me to keep a stricter google calendar on my phone so I can stay organized and on top of deadlines. But when I don’t want to do work, or I’m afraid of feeling pressured, it is all too easy for me to just, oh I don’t know, *not* open the calendar app on the tiny computer I keep buried in my pocket. And so, I decided to make a physical calendar on the wall behind my computer. So I have an ever present reminder of my schedule and my due dates.

It sounds like a painfully obvious thing to do, but before this little journey toward self-improvement, I would have never felt the initiative to do such a thing. It turns out I need a physical, constantly in your face, board of reminders of my obligations. Something inescapable. Now just wish me luck on keeping the damn calendar up to date.
