Stickers and Thanks!

Hey everyone! Stickers are in the mail and credits are updated for all Rockstars who joined in May.

As always, a big thanks to every Patron and every viewer. Every bit helps, even if it's just a dollar, or you just let the ads play. Different folks contribute in different ways, and it all adds up. I'll keep making the videos for free as always, and that'll never change, so thank you for continuing to enable me to put a roof over my head while I do it! 😄

You may notice the format of the credits at the end will be evolving over the next few months. There are a lot of names in there now, which is a fantastic problem that I am grateful to have. However it is getting difficult to show them all and still be legible in the 20 seconds that YouTube gives me for that ending screen. If I start showing them sooner to scroll them slower, it hurts algorithm performance because people click away from the video as soon as they see credits start to roll. A huge factor for algorithm performance is so-called "retention" which is how many people watch right to the end. So I need to keep the credits roll short, but it's now scrolling so quickly and the font is so small to fit everyone in, that it may be hard to read. Another option is paged credits, but those are labour-intensive to produce since there's no plugin I can find that will let me procedurally import the list of names the way scrolling credits in Final Cut Pro can. Anyways, let me know what you think in tomorrow's video, which will have my latest attempt at improving this. I've written my own plugin for Final Cut which supports more columns of names. This has allowed me to slow the scrolling by about 60%.
