*Patron-only* It's Just a Bad Flu (Part 2 of 2)

We round off our discussion from part one by talking about the impact of covid-19 on health care capacity, covid-19 vaccinations, the class warfare that has been the lockdowns, the horrible effects of the bureaucratisation of science, how a communist society would handle covid-19 and more!

Thank you for your work on lockdowns and the Covid19 situation in general. I think your analysis makes a lot of sense. I am curious to know if you are familiar with the work of Philippe Lemoine on lockdowns. His blog post on the Imperial College article by Flaxman et al was cited by Bendavid, Ioannidis et al which is where I found out about his work. Lemoine completely destroyed the Flaxman paper from what I could tell. Also, Lemoine has a paper "The Case against Lockdowns" in which he presents the clearest and most convincing arguments against lockdowns I have seen. Lemoine is a conservative but he is also a brilliant mind and consumed by a "war on science" which leads him to produce very good work on lockdowns and very good take downs of mainstream scientific papers.

I think this is also a valid critique from Ioannidis, who is usually brilliant. -Leila

Or is it more because 'excess deaths' are bad way to calculate it, as Ioannidis pointed out, since this would include deaths caused by lockdowns as well as year-to-year fluctuations? Thanks again!
