So, one of the games I immediately thought of for that "what makes you feel huge" e-mail was Robot Alchemic Drive on PS2 or PS3. You play as the pilot of an enormous Mecha, fighting other Mecha and kaiju via remote control on the ground, a nearby building, on its shoulder, etc. The scale is super Shadow of The Colossus like but with wild controls (each trigger is a limb). It's a fun experience that nobody really seems to remember.
