Magic Items Vol. Ten (Alpha 0.3)

Gag of False Speech

Cursed Restraint (Rare)

Debilitating Threat Level

Appearing as a black ball-gag engraved with a faintly glowing purple rune, a Gag of False Speech is always accompanied by a matching stone which the gag is attuned to. If a creature is bound via this gag, the gag projects an illusory effect, causing the creature wearing it to appear as though they aren't gagged at all.

If another creature speaks into the accompanying stone, the gag produces the spoken words in the voice of the gagged creature, with the illusion causing the gagged creature's mouth to appear as though it is speaking said words. This gag can only be locked onto a creature if the word "Lock: is spoken into the accompanied stone and it may only be removed removed if the word "Unlock" is spoken into the accompanied stone. The moment this gag becomes locked, it projects its illusion, and the illusion dissipates the moment it is unlocked.

Gag of Fixation

Cursed Restraint (Uncommon)

Inconvenient Threat Level

Appearing as a bright pink ball-gag with a traditional locking mechanism, when the Gag of Fixation is used to restrain a creature, the form of the gag is altered, increasing in size and altering in shape, becoming elongated and phallic as it fills the equipped creature's mouth. If this gag is not removed from a creature's mouth within one minute of being equipped, that creature gains the Orally Fixated personality trait. This trait may be removed if the afflicted creature undergoes a ritual of purification.

Orally Fixated: You love using your tongue and the feeling of your mouth being full. If five minutes or more have passed since you had an object within your mouth for a duration one minute or longer, your Mind, Resolve, Awareness, and Knowledge are each reduced by -3 as your mind wanders of thoughts of using your mouth.

Cuffs Of The Pure Word

Magic Restraint (Rare)

Debilitating Threat Level

Pearlescent cuffs often found within the inventories of angels that seek to castigate demons and corrupt mortals, Cuffs of the Pure word not only help to prevent a bound creature from fighting back, but they're an excellent asset in interrogations. When restraining a creature, this item has the normal retraining qualities of cuffs. However, when they are equipped to a creature, they gain 1d4 Truth Charges. If the creature that equipped these cuffs to a target asks that creature a question. If the target answers truthfully, the cuffs lose one charge. If the target lies or refuses to answer within one minute, the cuffs gain one charge. When these cuff have no remaining charges, they dissolve into faint glitters of light. These cuffs can otherwise not be removed when they have remaining Truth Charges.

Infernal Binds

Magic Restraint (Rare)

Debilitating Threat Level

Created and utilized by demons, Infernal Binds are restraints made of rope native to the Realm of Corruption. Made of a spindly black material that gives off a faint reddish glow, Infernal Binds come in several forms, but are most often Cuffs, Leg- Binds, or Full-Body Restraints. While a creature is bound by these restraints, these binds are treated as though they are made of rope, except they are immune to fire damage and for every hour that a creature remains bound by Infernal Binds, roll 1d2. On a roll of a 1, one of that creature's class levels are replaced with a level of lesser demon. On a roll of 2, one of that creature's personality traits is replaced with a trait from the Corrupt Personality Chart chosen at random (or by the GM).

Spell Fragments

Magic Item (Varies)

An incredibly popular magic item often found within the inventories of adventurers. Spell Fragments are crystalline shards infused with a specific spell. A Spell fragment contains a single use of a specified spell. Though merchants will indicate the spells contained in fragments they sell, fragments that are found in the midst of travel will rarely indicate which spell they contain. As a two-handed action, a creature holding this fragment may crush it, releasing the spell within. When this happens, that creature immediately casts the contained spell without spending any MP (the spell still uses that creature's stats to resolve effects and damage). As the fragment is broken, the spell's identity is revealed if it wasn't already known and the caster may choose valid targets if applicable.
