A major milestone for LLtP this week, but little work on Supermodel. Let's dive into it!

Long Live the Princess

I can now happily announce that all animations and images that needed updating for version 1.0 have been fully updated and tested in-game. The 1.0 image folder currently contains 1191 images, so it's a lot. This also means that, unless I decide to add new content to the game later, I have rendered my final images for LLtP. It's almost enough to make one emotional, *sniff*.

However, there is still a lot to do before the game is complete. The updated animations and images are a huge part of this update, but there are several new features to implement, plenty of bugs to fix, and a few tweaks to the gameplay.

The first thing I'm doing is rework the Fairy Queen's vision puzzle. This isn't a massive rework, but I will change the prophecy to something else that conveys a similar message. The big problem with the existing puzzle is that it's too vague and relies too much on semantics ("an" vs. "the," for example), making it tricky to both understand and solve. Right now, I'm trying to let players focus on words that have a more straightforward, defined meaning, such as "male" vs. "female."

Trying to find the perfect sentence to replace the existing one with is tricky, though. Not only does it still have to fit on one line in the game itself, but it must lead the FQ to believe that she needs to have sex with you in public, and it needs to be possible to turn into something that leads you to the eventual conclusion of that puzzle. The various words you can replace must also make sense and feel like they could be the correct choice. It's tricky, but I'm getting there.

Supermodel

I wanted to get the renders out of the way this week, so I put Supermodel briefly aside. I plan to get back to working on it this week, possibly by focusing on renders.

While the release of the final LLtP version is still a little ways off, the big milestone of this week means that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just have to keep driving towards it.
