Progress Report

It's been a week since version 0.39 was released, putting the Fairy Queen behind us (and putting us in the Fairy Queen's behind), so the focus now is on Nell.
This past week has not been terribly productive in that regard. To begin with, I had to put out a hotfix because of a crash bug, and then I got my third Covid shot, leaving me a little worse for wear. I'm feeling almost back to normal today, so I'm expecting things to pick up considerably.
For now, I have set up the basis for Nell's remixed tower climb and reacquainted myself with how the old one worked. Even after all this time, there are no perfect assets for the environment, although what I have now is still miles ahead of the old setup. I'm spending more time than usual preparing the tower and its surroundings so that my camera movement won't be too restricted.
The core of Nell's scenes should remain more or less untouched. I want to change as little as possible of the writing, instead focusing on making things look better. But since the tower will be different now, some changes will have to be made. It will be for the better, trust me. Nell's tower scenes really failed to deliver upon what I had initially intended for them, so I see this as a second chance to get it right before we move on.
And that's it for now. Not terribly exciting, I know, but the first progress report after a new update rarely is.
