Progress Report

What a refreshing week this has been for my workflow. Up until now, all my focus for version 0.38 has been on creating new renders. With those out of the way last week, I was now able to start actually adding them to the game itself.
Boy, did that turn out to be a lot more work than I expected.
Long story short, all four existing night scenes have now been fully upgraded to use the new images and animations. However, they have not been expanded to feature any new actions yet. So right now, these scenes look better than before and feature vastly improved animations, but not much more. I realized how much work it would be when I replaced the physical images and ran an error checker across my script. It tossed out hundreds of lines of errors, meaning I had to carefully step through and debug every single line of code involved in LLtP's night scenes. This would ensure that the scenes would work, be streamlined, and include any upgraded animations I had built. Each of these took me around two days, with the most challenging one of the bunch being Evelyn and her amazingly complex setup. It has been much improved and simplified now, though, a massive boon as I move forward.
With less than five days to go until the end of the month and no new content added yet, it's clear that I'm not going to be able to get this done in November. As such, I now expect to get the update out in December, which gives me a little extra breathing room to polish it before pushing it out the door for your enjoyment.
There's not much else to say about an update like this, really. It's mostly just technical stuff happening behind the scenes. Therefore, I believe I will end the progress report here and get back to work. Next week should hopefully have me talking about the new actions I will have added at that point.
Until next time!
