Ah, the first week after a major release. There's rarely much actual development going on during that week as most of the beginning is spent on community management, plus taking a breather. I actually was lucky enough to get myself a Playstation 5 at the beginning of the week, so I have been spending a little time with that. It can be beneficial to get my mind away from my two jobs once in a while.

Anyway, just to make sure everyone is up to speed: Version 0.34 will be the entirety of the game's epilogue. Structurally, it will consist of a final wrap-up of the main story that picks up where 0.33 left off. After that, you get a selection of static images and descriptions showing the world's state and the various characters after your actions. If you have ever played a game like Fallout or Wasteland, you'll know how this will work. After these summaries, credits will roll, followed by a significant post-credits scene that you definitely shouldn't miss.

At least that's the plan. For now, I have planned out exactly what images I will need for the epilogue and where they will come into play. This is actually quite significant because it's the big unknown for this update. By mapping it early, I take this uncertainty out of the picture.

I fully intend to finish this update much faster than I did 0.33, but Christmas will probably throw a wrench into the whole thing, at least for a week or two. Don't worry though, I will do my best to work throughout the holidays (within reason. I'm not going to let myself become burned out).

The best thing about 0.34 is that I'm really looking forward to making it. I dreaded 0.33 for many reasons, but 0.34 will just be fun and more easily manageable.
