Progress Report
Added 2019-07-12 10:45:13 +0000 UTCGreetings to one and all!
It is time for another progress report. After last month's unusual focus, many of you may be wondering when we'll get back to the usual type of content. Well, wonder no more! In this month's update, we'll be heading back to revisit the Leanan Sídhe. I mean, what could possibly go wrong there?
There's a very good reason why I've been pushing the Leanan Sídhe recently, but I can't talk about it yet. Suffice to say, if everything goes according to plan in July, you'll know why she's been so visible lately once you play version 0.23. While I think this version is going to be great if I can get it right, what gets me really excited is version 0.24 in August. I can't wait to talk about it. I suspect most of you will realize what 0.24 will be about even before I write August's first progress report.
So anyway, back to 0.23. I haven't made a lot of progress on it yet, but my computer is rendering brand new images for it as I write this. As usual, rendering often takes several passes. The first few renders often come out wrong in some way and require adjustments, and that's exactly what's happening here. I'm used to it, though.
I have mentioned it before, though I haven't made a big point of it recently, but I want to stress that the fey characters' stories are smaller in scope than the regular characters. This is most visible in the lack of investigations surrounding them, and it's by design. The Fairy Queen is an exception because of her significance to the story, and Belle is obviously a special case as well. Erato, the dryad, is basically done and has been for a long time. She makes the occasional appearance, but she's no longer the focus of anything. The same thing will soon happen with the Leanan Sídhe. After this update, there will be very little left to her story, though what remains is important.
That's all I have to say for this week's update. As usual, I'll be back with another one next week.
Until next time!

2019-07-12 15:22:45 +0000 UTCThank you!
2019-07-12 13:57:39 +0000 UTCThanks! I don't think there's much value in writing something like that. The people who would benefit the most from it (mostly the "ooh, making an adult game will be easy, and it'll make me rich quick!" gang) wouldn't read it anyway. Game development doesn't always work out the way people expect, but that's why experience matters. As a developer, I knew what I was getting into with this game. My impression is that few other adult game developers have that luxury, and those who do are the ones who succeed.
2019-07-12 13:57:03 +0000 UTCOtherwise, Belle, I got around to play the game and nice showing for what happens in version 0.23, I do like how it played out. Keep up the good work there Belle.

2019-07-12 13:15:01 +0000 UTCHey, Belle, when you’re all done with this game, could you please write a “white paper” on the proper way for a lone developer, or a small team, to make a Patreon-supported video game? You and Redamz (Monster Girl Island) are the two most professional, regular, devoted, and just plain GOOD devs I’ve ever seen, let alone supported. You’re both the standard other devs should strive to reach. Thanks for the work!
