Long Live the Princess - Version 0.18.0

Update: Added the Android port.

Please note: I'm trying out Patreon's Early Access system this time. This means that if you're a $5 patron or above, you'll get access to this post immediately. Everyone else will automatically get access to it one month later. Please let me know if this isn't working correctly.

Long Live the Princess version 0.18.0 is now available for download.

This version is short because I was sick nearly half the month, not to mention the fact that February is a short month, to begin with. Still, I've packed it with as much content as I can, including some much-needed quality of life improvements.

The main focus of this update is to teach you how to solve dark secrets. With this out of the way, there is almost no limit to where we can go with upcoming versions. I'm a little secretive with my patch notes this time. You'll probably realize why once you've actually played this update.

Additionally, the town travel system has been replaced with a brand new town map. You'll receive a quick explanation of how it works once you load your saved game or play through the tutorial.

Enjoy!

Changelog 0.18.0:

Comments

If you're asking about Perversity 5, it's currently tied to doing the night scenes while at max agility. I hope to add an alternate path to Perversity 5 in the future.

I think he is asking how to get the last implemented perversity in the game cause I can't achieve it too

How i get perversity

Alright I'll start from the beginning again and inform you if it occurs again, thanks for considering me

Having looked at this further, the glitch appears to only happen if you use the unsupported (as in, it's not in the Windows and Mac versions if you don't replace the Ren'py libraries yourself. I don't know about the Android version) skip function. I'm not talking about the one that quickly skims through dialogue, but the one that skips directly to the next choice. If you use that one at the end of the tutorial, you can end up with a dialogue selection screen on top of the map, and that causes issues. The reason you can't access the library is simply that it's not available at all times of day in the beginning of the game. You will be told why you can't visit it.

I just played through the intro myself. There *is* indeed a glitch there that was introduced with some of the recent changes to the map system, but you can get around it by moving back and forth between a few locations. I'll have a closer look at this for the upcoming version.

You didn't answer my question. Regardless, if you're on day 1, you're in the tutorial. You're not supposed to do things on your own yet. Follow the game's instructions!

I think it's some kind of glitch

I just started the game, and 1 day have passed on the game, but now if I want to visit the library of my own will I just can't go there

Does the game say anything to you at this point, or is it just instant?

When I want to enter the library from my own will , I just can't. It I tap at the dot of thee library but it brings me back to the central area

Okay? When? What are you trying to do? What do you mean that you're not able to access it? I can't help you with this little information.

I'm not able to access the library from the mini map

The final level of perversity has not been implemented. You can see this on the ability screen by looking at the crossed out boxes.

How to have the last level in perversity pls

Ah, I see. Keeping the text hidden until you move the mouse over something is a deliberate choice to keep the map clean. The hotspots are easy to identify, and you quickly learn where everything is. I mean, it's not like we're swimming in hotspots on these maps. :)

I said that probably because it was something like 3 am when I made that post and I was slightly fried. What I meant was like how you have text(ID) that appears on the town map for each location as you mouse over the location markers; but instead of only appearing on mouse over it would appear constantly(be persistent). Basically you'd have the icon with text under it that says what clicking that icon leads to (World Map/Town Map). Hope that clears up what I was trying to say. I'll try to refrain from tired posting at 3am again. :)

I'm experimenting with how to best handle this feature. I'll probably try a few different options. I don't know why you use the phrase "persistent ID" in this context, but I'm going to assume you want two different map icons depending on where you are. I don't think I'm going to do that, but we'll see.

Finally got around to playing the update (seriously life, wtf?), very nice. My only bit of feedback is maybe put a ID tag on the map button to show what map clicking it leads to. (Town Map or World Map)
